What you'll see and do

  1. Boat Lagoon

Get picked up in the early morning from your hotel in Phuket by Andaman Leisure and meet the boat crew at Phuket Boat Lagoon including a quick COVID-19 screening and a short briefing about the trip.

    60 minutes here

  2. Phang Nga Bay.

Then cruise on a comfortable speedboat with 2 or 3 engines (with 20 resp. 30 seats) into the sheer limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay that jut vertically out of the emerald-green water.

    30 minutes here

  3. Hongs of Phang Nga

Make a stop at Koh Hong, and explore the hongs ('rooms' in Thai) that lie inside the island. These microcosms, hidden realms rich in unspoiled flora and fauna, are collapsed cave systems open to the sky and surrounded by towering limestone walls.

    60 minutes here

  4. James Bond Island

Continue to James Bond Island, also called Koh Ta-pu ('Nail Island' in Thai), first found its way onto the international map through its starring role in the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). With its signature rocky pinnacle, the entire area surrounding this island is indeed spectacular.

    60 minutes here

  5. Enjoy a Thai style lunch on Koh Panyee, a remarkable village - it's built out over the water, with a giant rock monolith guarding its rear. The hundreds of huts, shacks, restaurants and houses where the villagers live are built on stilts over the surrounding shallow sea.

The last stop will be on Koh Rang Yai, a peaceful island about 5 km off the east coast of Phuket with a 1-km-long beach that's perfect to relax and swim in very warm waters - usually between 25°C to 35°C.

    60 minutes here

  8. Naka Island

If the sea conditions are not good enough, you will alternatively make a stop at Naka Island for some beach time.

James Bond Island

It was an amazing experience, me and my family loved every second. The speedboat was so fun and took us to all the islands. We ended on a private island which was incredible and had a bar. 10/10 experience and would recommend to anyone

Awesome Andy and ALP!

Great family day out on the Phang Nga Bay tour. We did canoeing in caves, mangrove swamps, lunch at a floating restaurant and beach time at a private island. Thanks Andy!

An excellent day out - great operator, spectacular islands

A great day out. Lots to see - canoeing was superb. Communication was excellent. The boat was fast and so the children weren’t bored, despite the relatively long first and last legs (up to 60 mins). The operators were professional and well-trained. Only slight disappointment was the food quality at lunch, though the venue was good. Overall, an excellent day out and thoroughly enjoyable visit to some of the most spectacular islands you’ll ever visit.

Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket cost?

+

Prices start at $1900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket take?

+

Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Phang Nga Bay Day Trip to Panak and James Bond Island by Speedboat from Phuket start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
