Amazing time exploring Jordan
We had an amazing time on this tour with Riad, he was a brilliant tour guide who had lots of knowledge about everything we visited. He looked after us all and went out of his way to be accommodating. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to visit lots of different places in Jordan. The highlights being Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea. We also met lots of lovely people on our tour which made the journey very special.

Unbelievable!
What a fantastic trip! I felt safe across the whole country and so well looked after. All of the food was delicious and the days were incredible. Wadi Rum and Petra were my highlights. I found the guide Rihad was brilliant and knowledgeable about everything I asked. The driver was also lovely and the vehicle was brand new with lots of space and nice air con. Overall I would 100% recommend visiting Jordan, a once in a lifetime trip!

Out of this world!
Wow! Where to begin!? I am writing this review at the airport lounge, while my memory is still fresh. Our family, wife and 6yo daughter. Initially, with the tit-for-tat Middle East conflict still raging, I was reluctant to visit Jordan. But having done research and sought assurances, my fears were dismissed. Ashraf was our main point of contact and he introduced himself to us, via WhatsApp a week before our departure, which was very reassuring. From the time we arrived to be greeted by a rep before we even entered passport control, made us feel the closest to a celebrity! Everything was taken care off: transfers, pick ups from hotel(s), admission fees, tours…all planned to military precision. We travelled across Jordan visiting many historical places and sites. Petra and Little Petra are breathtaking. No wonder so many blockbuster sci-fi movies were filmed there. The castles, temples, snorkelling and swimming in the Red Sea; floating (for a short while!) in the Dead Sea all incredible experiences. Our daughter loved every moment of the trip even the walking and hiking trips. The entire vacation and experience would not have been possible without Ashraf our Jordan and Beyond contact. Ashraf came to our assistance on two separate occasions: once when we asked for a bigger room on the last leg of our tour, and booking seats for our return flights- when I went to book, most of the ‘free’ seats had been taken leaving us separated as a family. One WhatsApp message to Ashraf and he took care of everything - we were seated together AND had window seats! We can honestly say, the holiday was one of the best we have (so far) been on. Absolutely fantastic. Our 6 yo learned so much about the culture and has plenty to tell her teachers when she returns to school. A HUGE thank you to Ashraf, from Jordan and Beyond for a most memorable, experience. If anyone has any reservations about visiting, Jordan is a fantastic, SAFE country. The people are so friendly, welcoming and go out of their way to assist. Don’t delay, book today!

A wonderful tour with a professional company and awesome team. Looked after from arrival to departure and just amazing
We have just spent a wonderful week in Jordan seeing an amazing array of sites. We were most fortunate to having Adnan as our tour leader and guide. He spoke perfect English having US citizenship and he was a wealth of knowledge on all things Jordan giving us great insight on the region its people and culture. Likewise his insights on historical sites and the lines of Petra Little Petra Wadi Rum etc etc were fascinating and appreciated by all. We had a wide range of travellers and gelled really well throughout our tour. Adnan was ever patient and helpful throughout and nothing was too much trouble. It was full on but to fit in all we have seen meant it needed to be that way on and you’ll not regret it. Thanks to all at Jordan and Beyond Tours and their great team who helped make this a brilliant trip David n Julie C

Must do!
My friend and arrived in Jordan and were met by Jordan and beyond. From that point forward we were in the best of hands. The highlights were Petra and Wadi Rum but honestly there was not a bad day. Adnan was our guide, he was knowledgeable funny and knew how to keep everything interesting and fun. Just as importantly, our trip ran into a few medical issues and this company stuck with us from start to finish. The people made this trip special. If you are touring in Jordan no need to look beyond this company.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Petra Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amman.
How much does Petra Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amman usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Petra Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 14 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amman is not rushed.
Is Petra Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amman, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Petra Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Petra Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 14-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Petra Day Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amman can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amman and add a light layer if any part of the 14-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Petra Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amman within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amman?
+
On Outty we rank every Amman experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Amman: Petra and Wadi rum Private/Group Full day Tour, From Amman :Private or Group Full day tour to Petra, Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea 4 Days 3 nights. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amman?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amman?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

+
