    Solid trip

Great day trip. Minh was from the local area, near the Pagoda, and very knowledgeable. The boat ride was fun! Lunch was great and had tons of food and choices. We hiked to the top and visited the cave. Great to sweat a little after sitting most of the day. It’s a long trip with some slow parts but worth it to see the pagoda and cave.

Response from the operator: Dear Brad, Thank you so much for your amazing 5-star review! I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the tour and had a memorable experience with me. It was our pleasure to have you on board, and I am so glad everything met your expectations. Your kind feedback is truly appreciated by me. I always strive to create unique and enjoyable travel experiences, and it means the world to know I succeeded with you. I hope to welcome you on another adventure in the near future! Not bad, but not great

The tour was ok and the pagoda is beautiful. But the logistics could have been better. We were supposed to leave Hanoi at 8a but didn’t leave until 9a. After the bus ride we were informed we had to take a 5 min shuttle to the boat which was an extra charge. It wasn’t about the money but the tour should at least cover all the transport costs. The rest of the tour was generally fine but then we got back to Hanoi at 7p, an hour later than planned.

Response from the operator: Dear Jasneet, I am sorry to hear that you had a poor experience in Perfume Pagoda. I always try to provide the best service to all of our customers, and I am disappointed in your case. I apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort it may have caused. There was bad traffic in the morning so you left 1 hour late, then return 1 hour late too than normal. Sorry for your time. About electric car, I mentioned clearly that "Cable car & Electric car" are not incldued. But I will check again the cost and include it into tour price from now. I appreciate your time to share your feedback to help me improve my service. Regards, Viet

    Excellent trip

Ming was an excellent guide. He was so passionate about his village and we learned a lot about the history of the perfume pagoda

Response from the operator: Thank you for such kind words, Frances! I am truly happy that you enjoyed your trip so much. I’ve worked hard to offer my customers the best services possible, and comments like this make it all worthwhile. If you’re ever visit Vietnam I’d love to serve you and your family again! different as expected

beware to experience a culture shock: visit the Perfume Pagoda as you would be a Vietnamese Pilgrim Tour Guide shows you how to pray at every temple. Around Lunar New Year very crowded, tour is a little bit rushed (breaks too long, time at sights too short). Interesting, but if you want to enjoy a more historic and artsy approach, tour not recommended, but go privately.

Perfume pagoda a great full experience of Vietnam

Our guide Minh was amazing, he was very knowledgeable because he is from the area and passionate about the history. We felt very looked after and enjoyed the lunch. The coach has air conditioning which is great as it starts a couple of hours out of Hanoi, the boat journey can be uncomfortable as it’s one hour long and with the heat, there’s not much room for manoeuvre but the ladies that paddle the boats are great and if you can do the cable cars I would suggest doing so as the views are fantastic

Response from the operator: Thank you for such kind words, U6731EJsamanthaw! I am truly happy that you enjoyed your trip so much. I’ve worked hard to offer my customers the best services possible, and comments like this make it all worthwhile. If you’re ever visit Vietnam I’d love to serve you and your family again! Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip cost?

    +

Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Perfume Pagoda Full Day With Boat Trip start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
