The highlight of the tour is the Moonlit Sanctuary which is located on the Mornington Peninsula, about 60km from the Melbourne CBD. This location has been selected as the sanctuary of choice because of the ability for visitors to interact with Australian native animals. You will have the opportunity to pat and feed kangaroos and wallabies as well as see other native animals such as koalas, wombats, cockatoos, Aussie the Emu, and many more. An Australian style picnic dinner is included. Luna Park Melbourne
Our first major attraction that we pass is Luna Park, a historic amusement park located on the foreshore of Port Phillip Bay in St Kilda. It might be that as we pass you will hear screams and yells coming from the riders of the Scenic Railway, which was opened in in December 1912 and is the oldest continually operating roller coaster in the world. If you see someone standing in between the carriages, don't worry! The Scenic Railway is one of three roller coasters in the world that has a brakeman who stands in the middle of the train. We can stop at Luna Park for a photoshoot, if you desire.

The route follows the very beautiful and picturesque Beach Road where you will see multimillion dollar designer houses on one side, and the great views of Port Phillip Bay and the numerous beaches on the other side.

Dendy Street Beach
There will be a 30 minute stop-over at the famous Dendy Street Beach. This is the beach that is famous for its multicoloured wooden beach huts. It is also the most photographed beach in Victoria. In fact, this stop-over is done so that you will have the chance to do your own photoshoot, not only of the numerous coloured huts, but also of the views of the city in the distance, and other fantastic sights looking out into the bay. There are free public toilet facilities at this beach.

One of the main highlights of the Peninsula Nature Tour is a visit to Melbourne's award-winning wildlife park where you will get an up-close look at Australia’s amazing animals. You will enjoy a chairlift ride at the Arthurs Seat Eagle, which is located at the highest point of the Mornington Peninsula. Great day on the Mornington Peninsula!
Great day with private tour with personable and attentive Peter and Muscles, his BMW! Mornington Sanctuary was a success and saw all the key Australian animals. The sky ride provided beautiful views of the bay. They visit to the beach and huts was extremely enjoyable as well.

Fun shore excursion.
Peter went out of his way to make sure that he met our expectations. He met us at the pier and calmed our fears when we thought we would be late due to having to go through Australian Boarder Force before getting off the ship. We got to see Dendy Beach, Arthurs Pass, which had great views and Peter had a lunch for us of traditional Australian food that was sort of a "pub grub" or "beach grub" type. Nothing too exotic. It was a great way to see things that the ship excursions did not offer.

Koala, wombats, kangaroos + — super fun tour
Peter (69 Tours) was an excellent guide. The pace of the tour was perfect, with ample time at each stop. The highlight of our trip was the Moonlit Sanctuary where we fed wallaby, kangaroos and we were able to pet a koala (koala experience was an extra charge not covered by tour). The sanctuary was not crowded and very fun visit — (Barry, Jimmy & Mary the wombats were super cute). Brighton Beach photo stop was nice and the Eagle aerial tram was peaceful & picturesque. Peter provided a nice picnic lunch to wrap up our day. The only bump was before the tour where it looked like our private tour was not going to be private, but Peter quickly resolved the issue. A great tour that our entire group recommends enthusiastically. Peter was personal, knowledgeable and professional.
