Felt like Amalfi Coast
Chapman’s Peak drive was majestic and well worth the trip. Our driver Leon was knowledgeable, personable and organized, but was difficult for those in the backseat to understand. Van was clean and comfortable. Table Mountain Park with Cape of Good Hope is not to be missed. We climbed a massive of steps to get to the top but well worth the view. The Boulder Beach penguins were a bit underwhelming with crowds all angling for photos.

Great day trip from Cape Town with the lovely Bill Jean as our driver & guide
This is a great day trip to view three iconic South African bucket lists so accessible from Cape Town. Our driver was Bill Jean who we cannot recommend too highly for his knowledge, great sense of humour & just being a great guy as our guide.

The Impossible into Possible
I booked through booking.com and it was 6 am finishing the booking by 6.45. They were meant to leave at 8 am and pick me up at the accommodation. Because there was too much traffic because of the mineral mining event Gabriel missed my booking and they were about to cancel it. I contacted them and Leon picked up my booking . Leon was so gentile to make the effort with his own car to pick me up and take me to the first stop to meet the coach led by Gabriel. Great couple very knowledgeable of South Africa's historical facts back in the 5th 6th and 7th century. The stunning views of penguins the views of the mountains and even the wild animal in the natural reserve made my day . We witnessed bamboos, and a zebra crossing the street and ostriches. If it wasn't because of Leon and his lovely wife meeting me I would have missed this adventure as my journey in South Africa was about to finish the next day. So don't be afraid if you want to book on the same day they will make the impossible possible for you. Thank you.
Response from the operator: dear Marria, Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad to hear you had an amazing time on the tour. It’s always a pleasure to know our guests enjoyed the experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Penguins Boulders Beach and Cape Point Small Group Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
