What you get

    About this experience

Our cage-free experience allows you to SAFELY swim with sharks in their natural environment. You will walk away with a new perspective and appreciation for these beautiful creatures. Photos and Videos are included for free on every tour! We are a Native Hawaiian family owned and operated company rooted in Haleiwa, Hawai'i on the North Shore of O'ahu. A safety diver will escort you into the water where you will be able to safely watch as well as swim with the sharks, and other pelagic creatures. While swimming in the open ocean with sharks and other pelagic creatures, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the ocean and its inhabitants - disposing of the irrational fears and misconceptions of sharks and other ocean creatures. This is a "cage-free" experience where we will be free swimming with sharks for about 30 minutes. No heavy equipment is used. Just us with snorkel gear - so we keep the experience as natural as possible. *Underwater Cameras NOT allowed for safety reasons

    DO IT!

WORTH. EVERY. CENT. From start to finish, everything was awesome. The boat staff were personable, friendly and very knowledgeable about the spot where we dove. I’ve never swam in the open ocean, let alone specifically with sharks and I felt at ease the entire time. Seeing sharks and a barracuda was incredible. I will absolutely do this again and cannot wait to come back! *I do recommend for anyone who has even the slightest bit of motion sickness, to take Dramamine*

$150 for 24min in the water.

While the crew and boat were excellent, I feel $150/person for 24 minutes in the water is a bit steep. I am doing a two tank scuba dive the following day for the same price. We did see two sharks most of the time. Nothing exotic, just a couple of Galapagos sharks. I would NOT do this again.

    The coolest thing we did...

The coolest thing we did in Hawaii! We had so much fun and the team members taking care of us were fabulous. They even take pictures and videos and send them to you for free at the end of the tour. I felt super safe and had a blast swimming with multiple sharks, fish, and a jelly fish. Our group was lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins on our tour as well! Would highly recommend and will definitely be doing again!

    Utterly amazing

Highly enjoyable, if a little anxious. Didn't need to be though, we had an utterly memorable snorkel with sandbar and galapagos sharks. A dolphin thrown in and sighted a playful humpback whale while on the boat. A friendly, knowledgeable crew. They looked after us, free photos and videos. Family run business, authentic in it's approach, no frills. It does what it says on the tin! As the original trip out of the North Shore these guys truly deserve the reputation they have. Brilliant!

Pelagic Shark Dive Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Pelagic Shark Dive Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pelagic Shark Dive Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Pelagic Shark Dive Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 224 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pelagic Shark Dive Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pelagic Shark Dive Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pelagic Shark Dive Tour?

    +

Around 78 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pelagic Shark Dive Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
