    Highly recommend!

We had the BEST time exploring the Balboa peninsula on the electric bikes! A short distance from the bike shop was the beach, shops, restaurants (Chronic Taco was fantastic!) beautiful neighborhoods and a safe and picturesque place to ride. Would highly recommend! If you can ride a bike, you will have no problem riding these e-bikes. So much fun!

20th Street Beach and Bikes Rental. Remember that name!

On vacation in Newport, we decided on a whim to rent bikes and travel over to Balboa Island one morning. Near us was 20th Street Beach and Bikes. It appeared that they had a very good selection of bikes and other equipment. There were 14 of us with a few kids so we were hoping that they could accommodate our group. Turns out that they could help us with everything we needed and made some great suggestions so the ride with our children would be low stress and so much fun! We rented a mix of beach cruisers and e-bikes and they were in great shape. We were instructed how to use them, all our questions were answered, and the staff was very patient while the kids were trying to explore their shop! Sorry about that. The day turned out wonderful and we felt very fortunate to have rented from 20th Street Beach and Bikes. So much so, in fact, that we rented beach chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards for the rest of the week! I highly recommend looking them up if you are in the Newport area.

    Newport beach e bikes.

The pick up and drop off went seamlessly. Staff are very friendly and the e bikes are fantastic. It’s definitely worth doing if you have a spare few hours.

    Great service!

Unfortunately, we weren't able to take this tour because my husband is recovering from ankle surgery, and was in a lot of pain. The cancellation process was a bit tricky, but I spoke directly with the owner of 20th Street Beach and Bikes (Mike), and he was incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful. I can't wait till we're back in SoCal and can go on this bike ride around the peninsula! We'll definitely book with Mike again.

Pedego Electric Bike Rental: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Newport Beach.

How much does Pedego Electric Bike Rental cost?

    +

Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Newport Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pedego Electric Bike Rental take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Newport Beach is not rushed.

Is Pedego Electric Bike Rental worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Newport Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pedego Electric Bike Rental?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pedego Electric Bike Rental suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pedego Electric Bike Rental?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Newport Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Newport Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pedego Electric Bike Rental start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Newport Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Newport Beach?

    +

Newport Beach runs year-round whale watching out of the harbour, duffy boat and sailing charters, Balboa Island walks and coastal e-bike rides toward Laguna. On Outty we rank every Newport Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game: 60-Minute Adventures at Irvine Spectrum Center, Whale-Watching Cruise from Newport Beach, Electric Boat Rental in Newport Beach for Up to 12 People. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Newport Beach?

    +

December to April for grey whales, June to September for blue whales. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Newport Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
