    Outstanding knowledge from our guide

A bitter sweet experience with the sadness of war and the loss of life and to know that so many souls perished on that fateful day and that they rest beneath the memorial was really very sad . The memorial is laid out in a very dignified way. The tour started from the time we were picked up with a detailed and enlightening look back through history to the time when the pearl harbour attack started . When we arrived we visited a short movie theatre and then a briefing pre boarding the craft to the memorial. We then went through the submarines from WW2 with fascinating insights on the changing faces of the navy and how the war of the pacific was won and also modern day navy fleets and capabilities. Lui our guide shared his expert knowledge in a kind and caring way with great humility (from a veteran of service with the navy) . It really was a pleasure and the best way to understand what you are seeing . The tour then went on after lunch but sadly we had to leave at lunch time as I had double booked the day !

Response from the operator: Aloha, and thank you for the stunning review! We will make sure to forward this on to Luis. It's often difficult to highlight the mixture of emotions experienced when visiting Pearl Harbor, but we're glad you had a memorable experience.

    Awesome Guide & Tour

We booked the Pearl Harbor tour and our guide was Luis. He was awesome!!!! Very knowledgeable on history and a Navy veteran. Due to maintenance on the USS Arizona Memorial, we weren't sure we'd be able to get a boat that day but Luis was determined to try. We'd highly suggest taking this tour with Luis & Kaewe Adventures.

Response from the operator: Aloha, and thanks for the great review! We're all dealing with the construction at the Arizona Memorial, but our guides, like Luis, are doing everything they can to make our guests' trip memorable and amazing! We're so glad you had a great tour!

    Great Experience at Pearl Harbor

Our tour guide Penny was fantastic. You can certainly tour these sites on your own, but you will get such a better experience to go with a guide. We opted to have them pick us up as well. It is also nice because they go ahead and book your exact ticket that they need which is only $1 but can be difficult to get

Response from the operator: Aloha and thank you for your review! We try to make it as efficient and painless as possible to show our guests the important sites and have answers ready for any questions they may have. We appreciate you spending the day with us!

THIS is the BEST Tour Company for Pearl Harbor

We arranged for this tour well before our desired date. Make sure to contact the company and make a reservation. I believe this is the only company that allows entry with a guide coming along with you. We started at the Statue of Admiral Nimitz before boarding the Missouri which is both Ship and Museum. The visuals are excellent-it’s a memorial and a museum. When we entered the ship with Emerson Adams, we first had a wonderful “official Missouri guide” which was well done and educational. After this 15-20 minute tour-Emerson started “doing his thing”. Our guide-Emerson could not have been any better. Emerson’s service to our country in Afghanistan and experience with weaponry gave us an even better perspective of this most important historical event. We know Emerson has the qualifications to rise to this all encompassing task. The tour is 6-7 hours and includes the most comprehensive information for understanding the events that led up to December 7th as well as the day itself. As it’s so important to understand history-Emerson was a perfect 10…as we told him no other Keawe guide could be better he insisted they all had the same knowledge so-feel free to book without any qualms. This was our favorite historical site ever. After the extensive tour of the Missouri, we then went to a gallery with information and artifacts before seeing a film to prepare us to see the austere monument to those who perished on the Arizona. The US Park Rangers were very respectful and gave the Memorial the suitable respect. We were so impressed. After the tour to see the resting place for the servicemen who perished, we went in the bowfin and we had a excellent tour of that submarine learning about the beginnings of the US Submarine program and its history.

Response from the operator: Aloha, and thank you so much for this glowing review! We know Emerson is a great guide, but it's always nice hearing it from his guests. We will absolutely forward this on to him so he knows too. We take great pride in all of our guides and their personalized tour and knowledge. Thank you, again!

    Completely worth it

We wanted to visit Pearl Harbor but were having trouble figuring out how to fit together all the moving parts (some places are time ticketed, some you must reserve in advance, some places take more time than others, we weren't going to have a car, and so on). Finally I found reviews for Keawe Tours, which we booked via TravelShack, and decided to splurge for a guided tour. So glad we did! The visit was stress-free, with all details and coordination taken care of for us, and our guide, Emerson, was a delight: knowledgeable and friendly. Note for history buffs: Even after spending most of the day in the area, there was still tons more to see, do, and learn; consider allocating 2 days for Pearl Harbor.

Response from the operator: Aloha and thank you for the raving review! We will let Emerson know you had a great time and enjoyed yourselves. Our guides always do their best to make your tour stress-free and an efficient and effective use of your time. We're so happy you had a good experience!

Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin cost?

    +

Prices start at $1118 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pearl Harbor Tour Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
