It is often claimed that Egyptians referred to papyrus as pa-per-aa, literary meaning, that which is of Pharaoh, apparently indicating that the Egyptian crown owned a monopoly on papyrus production, though no actual ancient text using this term is known. Papyrus was very important to the ancient Egyptians as it helped transform Egyptian society in many ways. Once the technology of papyrus making was developed, its method of production was a closely guarded secret allowing the Egyptians to have a monopoly on it as it became the lifeblood for ancient Egypt. It was even exported to many locations in the ancient world. The raw material of papyrus paper comes from the plant Cyprus papyrus, a long stemmed plant that grows in damp regions of the Nile Delta in Egypt.

Shopping

As always Tonsi Tonsi gave us another fantastic tour in Egypt. We went on a ladies day out shopping trip and lunch. He negotiated prices and made sure weren’t being hassled by people selling things on the street. My friend and I have been on several tours with Tonsi and he exceeds at making sure we have a good time. I will continue to do tours with Tonsi. I have already scheduled another shopping trip with a Tonsi to get some more things for family and friends.

Response from the operator: Dear our valued customer Thank you for giving us a perfect rating and for recommendation our company to other travelers. I am sure our entire company staff enjoyed creating to your needs as much as you enjoyed your stay . We hope to see you again ^_^ Best regards, Emo Tours Egypt

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
