Wife was very nervous but instructor was calm and patient throughout the experience. Therefore allowed her to get to enjoy the time and make it to the end. Thanks! Always wanted to try this out and glad we did! We would do it again! Wish it could had been longer but overall great.

More like a scam in my opinion

States it’s a 2 hour experience, showed up to find out he booked 7 people on the same time slot and only had equipment for 5 people, we showed up, “trained” he took the group of 5 out first come back and gave us two of their tanks and took us, was supposed to be from 10 o clock till 12 o clock, we were done with everything and back in the car by 1130. We only got to dive for approximately 20 mins as did the other group. Definitely was not worth our money or time. Don’t get me wrong, the experience was cool but felt more like a scam than a 2 hour experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this with us Joshua, and we're really glad to hear you found the dive itself enjoyable — that means a lot. We do want to gently clear up a couple of things about how the day is structured. If everyone in the group arrives 30 minutes, there's no need to hold off until the official start time — we're happy to begin at 9:30 and wrap by 11:30, so the full 2-hour experience is still there, just shifted. We'd also like to clarify that there's no "training" involved, as this is not a certification course — if you're referring to the safety briefing, that's a standard part of the experience for every group, not a training session. On the equipment side: your instructor was required to carry a dive computer, so dive times are always logged and can be pulled up if there's ever a question — both tour dives run about 35 minutes each. As for group sizes, that comes down to the instructor's read of conditions that day, not equipment on hand. If he feels conditions are right for split groups, that's the call he'll make, purely for everyone's safety and enjoyment in the water. We really don't take the word "scam" lightly, and we hope this gives a clearer, fairer picture of how the day actually ran. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

    Fast and RUDE

The instructor was rude and not thorough, very rushed. Very little time in the water and went so fast that we had trouble keeping up, and couldn't look around. Part of the pictures he gave us were from a different dive.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Richard . We're sorry to hear the pace felt rushed and that you weren't able to take in the experience the way you'd hoped. Regarding the photos: mismatched timestamps are a known bug with GoPro Hero units, but the file's actual creation date/time corresponds correctly to your dive, so we're confident the images are from your session. We also want to share something that meant a lot to us. When one of your group participants wasn't feeling well and had to step back last minute, your instructor took the time to personally reach out on your behalf, asking to be given a full refund — even though it fell outside our standard 24-hour cancellation window. We honored that request the same day {as you already know}, simply because he cared enough to explain and ask. It's a small thing, perhaps, but it reflects the kind of care he brings to his work, and we felt it deserved to be recognized alongside your feedback.

Is Panama City Scuba Diving Activity for Beginners worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 266 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Panama City Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Panama City Scuba Diving Activity for Beginners?

How far in advance should I book Panama City Scuba Diving Activity for Beginners?

    +

Around 93 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Panama City Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Panama City Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Panama City Beach?

    +

Panama City Beach sells dolphin encounters, Shell Island snorkel trips, jet ski and pontoon rentals, parasailing and sunset cruises along a long stretch of white Gulf sand. On Outty we rank every Panama City Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dolphin Sunset Cruise in Panama City Beach on the "Island Time", Shell Island Snorkel and Dolphin Catamaran Cruise with Island Time, Cypress Springs Eco Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Panama City Beach?

    +

April to May and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Panama City Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
