2 island by ferry short tour
I had a great experience on this tour with a very wonderful tour guide Elena. That being said there was a lot of walking involved even though I chosen the shorter I would say it was at least 12,000 steps. I also felt like since I only had one day in Oslo off of the cruise shipthat I didn’t make the best choice for a tour because I really didn’t get to see much of the city of Oslo. I did enjoy visiting the one island that was a Park and seeing people that were enjoying swimming and picnic baskets, etc., and the deserted monastery, but I didn’t really get a feel for Oslo because I chose to do this tour instead. I think if you were staying ain Oslo for a few days then this would be an excellent choice.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your thoughtful review, and we're glad you enjoyed exploring the islands with Elena. For anyone looking for a broader introduction to Oslo, we also offer city walking tours, including "Oslo Through Time," which covers much more than just the city centre and provides a great overview of Oslo's history, culture, and neighborhoods. We hope to welcome you back!

Boat trip on the Oslofjord
A little little time on the islands. The guide was nice, but didn’t have much to tell about either one or the other of the islands. Had probably wanted us more information, so a tip to the guide is that he reads up.
Response from the operator: Takker for tilbakemeldingen. Vi skal gi guiden en tilbakemelding.

+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +
On Outty we rank every Oslo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oslo Highlights Bike Tour, Oslo Nature Walks: Island hopping, Central Oslo Guided Walking Tour with Local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oslo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oslo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
