Dinner in Frognerseteren
This is a unique experience you shouldn’t pass up on. Andreas was an amazing guide, and also an amazing chef. Andreas teaches you about Norwegian culture, while waking through the trails in Frognerseteren. In addition, he prepares the dinner (all home-made) surrounded by nature. The food was absolutely amazing, and combined with the beautiful view of the lake, it was truly a special experience. It was a great day to start my first day visiting Oslo. Andreas is both gracious and accommodating. Please book! You won’t be disappointed!
Response from the operator: Thank you for such a wonderful and thoughtful review! It was an absolute pleasure welcoming you on your very first day in Oslo and sharing our nature, culture, and homemade food with you by the lake. I'm so happy the experience made your trip start on such a special note. Warmly, Andreas

Best Food Tour I have done!
An absolute 10/10 guide! The walk through the forest was scenic and peaceful, leading to a gorgeous lakefront spot where we sat down for a phenomenal meal. Andreas shared fascinating stories about Norwegian food history and local lifestyle. We were traveling with six kids—some adventurous eaters, others a bit more hesitant—and every single one left full, happy, and raving about something they tried!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I'm thrilled to hear that the forest walk, lakefront feast, and local stories hit the mark for your group. Hosting six kids with varying appetites is always a fun adventure, so knowing that every single one left full, happy, and excited about the food makes my day. It was a true pleasure guiding you all! +

How far in advance should I book Oslo Nordic Food Tour: Camp Fire, Local Chef & Forest Feast?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oslo can sell out a month out. +
On Outty we rank every Oslo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oslo Highlights Bike Tour, Oslo Nature Walks: Island hopping, Central Oslo Guided Walking Tour with Local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oslo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oslo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
