Senjojiki
Senjojiki is a unique coastal rock formation on the western shore of Shirahama in Wakayama Prefecture. Formed by centuries of wave erosion from the Pacific Ocean, the layered sandstone terrain resembles a series of overlapping rock slabs. Covering about 4 hectares—enough to fit a thousand tatami mats, hence the name “Senjojiki”—this natural wonder is one of Shirahama’s iconic sights, alongside Sandanbeki and Engetsu Island. It’s especially famous for its sunsets, often selected among the “100 Best Sunsets in Japan.” With its dramatic coastal cliffs, roaring ocean waves, and secluded atmosphere, watching the sun dip into the Pacific here feels like standing at the edge of the world.

Wonderful carefree and comfortable day at Wakayama with Mr. Tiger!
Our guide, Tiger, works in a most comprehensive and clear manner, from the beginning of communication to relevant updates throughout the trip. He does everything with much consideration for us as tourists and customers and on giving us a good idea of what the Japanese society also expects from tourists - very useful, insightful and most of all, it shows his attitude towards work, his responsibility as our guide and his respect of the local rules and customs. His guiding was top-notch and always friendly and approachable!! We were not only impressed but also felt safe and comfortable with him as our guide. We shall be always asking for him as a guide whenever the occasion arises and will spread his name and therefore the name of company!! Thank you so much Tiger for a lovely, wonderful and carefree day - the trip , which we loved and enjoyed was more than worth because of your mannerisms too.

+

How far in advance should I book Osaka Wakayama Cat Train, Seafood market, Hot Springs Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Osaka can sell out a month out. What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Osaka and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Osaka?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Osaka?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
