Osaka day long private tour
We had an exceptional day long tour of Osaka. Andy, our private guide, was very knit and well informed. His perspective helped us understand how the city fits into Japanese society and culture. We were very pleased to have Andy as our personal guide.
Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, Thank you very much for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear that your full‑day tour of Osaka with Andy was such a meaningful experience. We’re glad you enjoyed the day together and hope to welcome you again on a future visit! Best regards, Kyoko

A beautiful day in the city of Osaka
I had a great day exploring Osaka with Yuichi. This was my second tour with Omakase and both were wonderful. Yuichi picked me up promptly at my hotel. We visited Osaka Castle and it's grounds first. Yuichi was able to get us in, avoiding major queues and up to the top of the castle using a dedicated elevator. A real plus for me at age 79! As we walked down the eight levels I learned about the history of the castle from displays and Yuichi's commentary. Yuichi was a good conversationalist and we chatted about many things. After leaving the castle we took the subway to Kuromon Market. I had visited Nishiki Market in Kyoto both solo and with a guide before but Kuromon is much bigger! I was able to sample lots of food, including okonomiyaki, soy milk, a cream-filled croissant, a sake flight, matcha tea, and several different types of miso. Finally we walked to Dotonburi and enjoyed the exciting atmosphere of this unique area. Afterward we walked back together to the hotel in Namba.
Response from the operator: Dear Thomas, Thank you very much for choosing our tours again and for sharing your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that Yuichi made your day in Osaka so enjoyable — from the smooth visit to Osaka Castle to exploring Kuromon Market and Dotonbori together. We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming you again on your next trip to Japan! Best regards, Kyoko

Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful day exploring Osaka with our guide Shoko. She was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable, happy to answer our questions about life and the history of Japan. We visited Osaka castle and museum, the food market, the housing museum and wandered around busy and bustling Osaka. Lunch was delicious! Shoko made us feel very comfortable and we did not feel at all rushed. A fabulous day. Thank you.
Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, Thank you for your time to post this review! It is our pleasure to know that you had a wonderful time in Osaka with our guide Shoko. So nice that she made you feel at home. We sincerely appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you back for more tours in the future! Best regards, Kyoko

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Osaka.
How much does Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights cost?
+
Prices start at $183 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Osaka usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Osaka is not rushed.
Is Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Osaka, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Osaka can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Osaka and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Osaka Private Tour: One Day Highlights start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Osaka within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Osaka?
+
On Outty we rank every Osaka experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hungry Osaka Street Food Tour:15 Tastings & 3 Drinks with a Local, Ultimate Osaka Walking Tour: Castle, Dotonbori, Gems & Lunch, Osaka Castle Walking Tour and Castle Tower Admission. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Osaka?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Osaka?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
