The stone walls, moats, Otemon Gate, Tamon Yagura, Sengan Yagura and other ancient buildings that can be seen today are all from the Tokugawa period onwards, and the area has been designated as a Special Historic Site by the national government, with most of the ancient buildings being designated as Important Cultural Properties.

Nice little sample of what Osaka has to offer
Pretty much exactly what's in the description. Physical enough to be fun, but gentle enough for any age and fitness level. Ayu was very friendly and informative and if I have to offer any criticism, it would be to avoid doing it in the summer if you can.

Loved it!!
Had a private bike tour, just my husband and I, with Hide as our guide. He was very knowledable, fun to talk to, and great company to have. He was attentive to us in the July heat, offered frequent breaks. The housing museum exhibit was very cool and a great way to break up the heat during the day. The lunch spot was delicious! We had Kaarage, yakisoba set meals. We enjoyed the scenic views along the river and at Osaka castle park. Overall, a wonderful way to see Osaka on our first day in town!!

Wonderful and efficient way to experience Osaka!
We had very limited time in Osaka, so this tour felt like the perfect and most comprehensive way to see the city. Tony was a fantastic guide—he biked around with us, shared fascinating stories about Osaka’s history and the people who shaped it, and made the whole experience both fun and informative. We also really enjoyed having lunch with him and loved the tea house experience. It was such a memorable way to explore Osaka, and we’re so glad we chose this tour!
