Great class for beginners or if you are new to Thai food.
We were a party of 4 (Wife, daughter, Mother-in-Law and I) with varying degrees of proficiency in the kitchen. My wife and I have been to Thailand a few times over the years and we have done a cookery class most times. This is a more intimate cookery class than we were used to which made us all feel comfortable. The review I will give in 2 parts. Part 1 from the point of view of a newbie to Thai food and part 2 from someone who is used to cooking Thai food. Part 1. The cooking class at the Organic Thai Cooking School was most enjoyable, and catered well for clients with little experience of cooking Thai food themselves. Each stage in the preparation and cooking was clearly explained, with much encouragement when our efforts were less than perfect. And the tour of the organic vegetable garden, the source of many of the ingredients, was fascinating - some so like familiar English produce, others very different. Altogether a very relaxed, friendly session in a beautiful Thai garden. The course is definitely more suited to people who have limited knowledge of Thai food and would recommend it on that basis. Part 2. As someone who cooks a lot at home this was a relatively easy cookery class. We made spring rolls (vegetarian), Massaman Curry (Beef and Vegetarian) and Prawns in tamarind. Where it lacks for the more experienced cooks is the tasks given are quite quick to complete and I felt I would have liked to do more cooking (Would loved to have made the paste from scratch as well). The class felt a little too slow (for me), however, this did not spoil the enjoyment of watching my family cook and seeing their faces. I would definitely recommend this class for beginners and you will enjoy the well meaning and well mannered chef. Its a charming location at the house and you will enjoy the experience. If you are looking for a more detailed / harder class, which I understand not everyone wants, you may want to try elsewhere. I hear the Blue Elephant does courses so maybe I will try that next time I am in Phuket! Thank you to all at the Organic Thai Cooking Class!

Just book it!! amazing experience
Fantastic afternoon spent learning from scratch how to make well known favourite Thai dishes ( our favourites were the Thai spring rolls), we made four meals in total and were given step by step instructions on how to cook and prepare each meal, we can highly recommend this cookery class, there are many variations out there but this one is by far the best… special mention to Roger who collected us from our hotel and dropped us home afterwards, he was a very informative guy who shared some of his much need knowledge of the local area,… overall an easy 5 Stars for value and enjoyment👍

What a nice experience!,the chef was great and made everything look easy. The venue in a garden was peaceful and quiet,we also enjoyed learning about the organic vegetable garden located on the premises. At the end of the lesson we went to the local market, there was some very nice food there but we had already eaten so much.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Organic Thai cooking class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does Organic Thai cooking class cost?
+
Prices start at $2400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Organic Thai cooking class take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is Organic Thai cooking class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Organic Thai cooking class?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Organic Thai cooking class suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Organic Thai cooking class?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Organic Thai cooking class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
