Optimum way hao long bay
It takes a bit to get here but it is well worth it. You are taken out to the boat with your group on a tender. When you arrive onboard you are greeted and introduced to all of the staff. They have more staff than guests and it shows. The area you tour is so much better than the photos show. It’s enchanting and they take you on a kayak ( or boat) to a lovely landlocked bay. The food is plentiful and well prepared. Our cabin was toward the front and very spacious with a large bathroom. There is also a very large front deck with a seating area. Our only regret was that our tour with Abercrombie and Kent only had us there for one night

Lovely cruise
We really enjoyed our 1 night cruise around Halong Bay. We had a suite with an extra bed for our son which was huge, with large bathroom and balcony. Food was lovely and beautifully presented. The staff worked so hard to make sure we have an enjoyable stay. We loved the cooking demonstration and our 16 year old son had ago at making Vietnamese spring rolls. Lovely sunset cocktails.

Amazing experience
Booked for us via Trailfinders so we weren't sure what to expect but it was a pleasant surprise. We had one of the suites at the back of the boat (202) which was huge! The food was good (let them know if you don't like something and they can adapt). We were asked whether we had any allergies, I need gluten free and one of the members of staff Emily was brilliant at showing me what I could have. She took the time to talk me through the options available and made alternatives/adaptions as needed. The cocktails were particularly strong (although we added sprite and that made it better) The views were brilliant, we woke up for sunrise and watched from our balcony, the optional excursions were a nice addition. All of the staff were amazing but Emily was particularly brilliant

A must see tour
One of the best views in the world. We took the cruis with ship 4669, the staff was very helpful and friendly especially Tiang Tony ane Elle. IMHO these views are a must.

Not worth the price
This 2 night three day tour wasn’t as expected. Wasted time traveling by crummy tender out to boat parked way out in the bay. First day a very short cruise out to a section of the bay I found less scenic. Then a tender ride for a hiking in the cave adventure. Forced to walk across wet hot asphalt for a less than interesting cave. Finally back on the boat for a short cruise to drop anchor. All drinks including cuppacchino cost extra. The meal service was pretty good, the staff hard working young people- no complaints with the staff. Our room reaked of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking boat. Diesel fuel scent is a way of life on the boat. Best of all was the kayaking. Sadly the last day we had to leave our rooms by 9:30 in the morning so it hardly counted as a 3 day trip. All in all Lan Ha Bay not the most scenic area of Halong Bay.
