Dear Frank and team. IRH JUST BE TOP!!!🤩

We went to Rio with Frank Hopfe and his team in 6 and we also had the chance to experience the carnival in the Sambodrom with him. The next morning, with him, he went to sunrise on a hill below the statue of Christ. Just unforgettable beautiful 🤩 He has a great team and we all loved it. Again and again!! P.S.: dear Frank, once again our heartfelt thanks to you and your whole team, you were just TOP!,,🤩

    Disappointing tour

Tour guide was not on time. She had to speak in 3 languages and English translations were last and very brief. Tour was listed as full day but was half day. Price went up dramatically in 24 hour period. Agency that was supposed to give tour didn’t. Was very difficult to connect with person actually giving the tour!!

Response from the operator: Hello Nancy and Rhoda, I hope you are well. One day before the excursion we wrote to you by all means (WhatsApp- Email - Tripadvisor Chat) that we would pick you up at 9:35 am, but you did not have any type of communication or medium through which our message would reach you. The described tour does not include the Sugar Loaf, they must purchase it additionally, the price did not increase, it is a fixed value on tripadvisor and they did not make any type of change in the price, the tour was carried out as described: Christ the Redeemer, Stairs from Selaron, Arcos de Lapa, Cathedral, Maracanã, Sambadrome and Free Buffet Lunch, we pick them up at the Píer de Mauá and upon return we take them to their hotel in Copacabana. You traveled with 6 suitcases and we carried out an extra service that was to take the suitcases to your hotel paying for additional transport and that was not charged to you, we assume it, it was a lot of luggage to transfer it with the tour group in the van, they did not fit in the van because they were very large suitcases. The guide did give full explanations in English, she is an experienced guide and we never had any complaints regarding her professionalism. The service was carried out as described and much more, despite the communication difficulties and how difficult it was to find you at the Pier de Mauá in a secluded parking lot. Our goal is that everyone is satisfied with our services, we are very attentive and aware of every detail.

    Best of the holidays

What I liked most the kindness and attention of Claudia who was our guide, a love of person... speaking of the places visited I think Christ for what he represents. Some advice for visitors, always heed the directions of the guide and respect the schedules so as not to disturb anyone and finish the walk on time... drink plenty of water

    Day in the River

We made the day trip in Rio and it was fantastic, especially by the cordiality and knowledge of the guide Monica, who added value and made us know important details about the history of Rio de Janeiro.

One day tour in Rio: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.

How much does One day tour in Rio cost?

    +

Prices start at $126 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does One day tour in Rio take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.

Is One day tour in Rio worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule One day tour in Rio?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is One day tour in Rio suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book One day tour in Rio?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does One day tour in Rio start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Favela Tour Rio de Janeiro - Vidigal Walking Tour by Russo Guide, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

    +

Included: Bilingual Tourist Guide; Free Fork Lunch; In-vehicle air conditioning; and Entrance Tickets. Not included: Drinks and desserts; and Rent of Carnival Fantasies in the Sambadrome. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
