I want to be very honest...

I want to be very honest with this review, as it was not exactly what we were expecting. I thought I had booked a snorkel experience but I should have read more closely. This excursion is more about seeing beautiful little hidden spots for a photo opp. Please be prepared to spend a lot of time in line, waiting for your turn. Bring plenty of water, as it is very hot. You should also be able-bodied as it involves walking up and down steep stairs at certain points throughout the day. We were passed along by 5 different ‘guides’ throughout the day and each one got us to where we needed to go. Our primary guide was an excellent driver, negotiating very narrow and bumpy roads. He took lots of pictures for us and made sure we arrived to the harbor on time for the trip back to Bali. If you want cool, Instagram worthy pictures, this is the trip for you. We had a different idea of what we were getting so it was a little disappointing. My own fault for not reading more closely.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nusa Dua and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

How many days do you need in Nusa Dua?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
