Experiencing the beauty of Kazakhstan on horseback
The horseback tour of Karagaily Apple Orchards with Gulnaz was such a wholesome experience. The viewpoints were breathtaking and experiencing all of it on horseback was an absolute privilege and delight. I felt like I was in Lord of the Rings! My horse Rutman was an absolute gentleman. Darya, Gulnaz and the team at the stables were very informative and took into consideration I was returning to the saddle after an injury. The organisation was faultless. I can’t wait to come back in the future and do a longer horseback tour with the Powder Nomads team!
Response from the operator: Dear Haleema, Thank you so much for this beautiful review! ❤️ We were truly happy to share all those magical moments with you. Seeing someone genuinely enjoying the places, horses and experiences that we love so much is incredibly rewarding for us, it is one of the reasons why we do what we do. From the very beginning, it felt so easy and natural to spend this day together. Sometimes, on a trip, that little line between “guide” and “guest” simply disappears, and suddenly it feels less like guiding a tour and more like sharing a beautiful day and an adventure with a friend. This was definitely one of those days for us! And yes, there was certainly a little bit of Lord of the Rings magic in the air! 😊 We’re so happy that returning to the saddle after your injury felt comfortable and enjoyable, and that our gentleman Rothmans took such good care of you. Thank you for trusting us and choosing Powder Nomads for this experience. Gulnaz, Kularay and the whole team at the stables send you a big hello, and Rothmans does too, of course! 🐴 We all wish you many more dreams coming true, beautiful journeys and new discoveries around the world. And most importantly, we’ll be waiting for you back in Kazakhstan! Next time, hopefully for a longer journey on horseback… and perhaps a few other adventures along the way. There is still so much we would love to show you. Until our next adventure! ❤️ Big hugs from Kazakhstan, Darya, Gulnaz & the Powder Nomads Team

Fun day out with horses and apple orchids
I went with my sister as a birthday present while we were travelling. It was really a memorable experience. We had fresh apples and they accommodated for our previous horse riding experience to elevate the whole day. Darya and Gulnaz organised a mini celebration with a cake and the lunch was delicious (highly recommend the river trout!). The horses were very well behaved. The staff there were also very kind and friendly.
Response from the operator: Dear Deniz, Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re very happy that you and your sister enjoyed your day with us and that we could be part of such a special birthday celebration. It was a real pleasure to add a few little surprises along the way and make the experience even more memorable for you. We’re also glad you enjoyed the horseback riding, fresh apples straight from the orchards, delicious lunch (the river trout is definitely a favorite!), and the warm atmosphere at the ranch. We’ll be happy to pass your kind words on to Gulnaz and the rest of the team. Thank you for choosing Powder Nomads for your adventure in Kazakhstan. We hope the memories from this day stay with you for a long time, and maybe one day we’ll see you both again for another adventure! Warm wishes from Kazakhstan, Darya & the Powder Nomads Team

How long does One Day Horseback Tour in Karagaily Apple Orchards take?

Is One Day Horseback Tour in Karagaily Apple Orchards worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Almaty, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is One Day Horseback Tour in Karagaily Apple Orchards suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book One Day Horseback Tour in Karagaily Apple Orchards?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Almaty can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Almaty and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does One Day Horseback Tour in Karagaily Apple Orchards start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Almaty within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Almaty?
+
On Outty we rank every Almaty experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kolsai, Kaindy Lakes and Charyn Canyon Small Group Tour, Kolsai Kaindy Lakes with Charyn Canyons 2-day tour, Kolsai, Kaindy lakes & Charyn canyon with Yurt stay and Campfire. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Almaty?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Almaty?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
