What you get

    About this experience

Take a tour that lets you immerse yourself in the park. Our guides are master naturalists, botanists, geologists, historians, and - most importantly - relentlessly curious! Today, you’ll head to the coast for a visit to stunning destinations including the Kalaloch beaches and then the Hoh rainforest. Your group may choose to focus on lots of short stops such as the Tree of Life, tidepool viewing, and Hall of Mosses. Alternatively, your group may opt for a longer rainforest hike along the Hoh River Trail winding through giant old growth forests of Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce, and Western Hemlock trees. Along the way, your naturalist guide will share stories of the Hoh tribe, history of the logging industry, and fun facts about the flora and fauna surrounding you. Groups are capped at 8 hikers. If we don't meet the minimum number of spots booked, registrants will be offered an option to make the tour private for an additional charge or cancel for a full refund.

    What you'll see and do

    1. Rialto Beach

We'll either start or end our day at Rialto Beach, depending on the tides. Your guide will lead you through and educational exploration of the intertidal zone and its truly fascinating wildlife. Most people walk by some of these areas without ever realizing that an entire universe is alive beneath their feet! You'll never look at starfish the same way again...

      120 minutes here

    2. Hoh Rain Forest

We'll take an approximate 4 mile hike along the Hoh River. We'll escape the crowds by hiking along one of the less traveled paths in the area. Along the way, your expert guide will explain why this area is so unique and answer questions about this one-of-a-kind ecosystem. We'll be taking our time to really look at the thousands of species around us!

      180 minutes here

    3. Sol Duc Falls

Sol Duc Falls is reached by a moderate, 1.6-mile (round trip) hike.

      120 minutes here

    4. Big Cedar Tree Kalaloch

Pay a visit to this truly amazing tree. An unbelievably massive conifer, this 1000 year old tree was struck by lightening in 2014. It's now a perfect example of the cycle of life as parts of it now serve as a home for new tree saplings.

      30 minutes here

    5. Lake Crescent

The pristine waters of this deep, glacially carved lake make it an ideal destination for those in search of natural beauty.

    The Perfect Pacific Northwest Experience

There’s so much to see in Olympic, and I’m really glad I booked a tour. Sydney was our guide, and her knowledge of the area made such a huge difference. With her guidance, we got to experience it all—the Hoh Rainforest, Rialto Beach, Hurricane Ridge—and even caught salmon swimming upstream in the Sol Duc, which was unreal. Every logistical detail was handled so smoothly that all we had to do was enjoy being out there. Thank you, Sydney, for making this an unforgettable experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with Sydney. We're delighted to hear that her knowledge and guidance made your tour of Olympic National Park unforgettable. It's great to know that all logistical details were handled smoothly, allowing you to fully enjoy the stunning sights like the Hoh Rainforest, Rialto Beach, Hurricane Ridge, and the salmon in the Sol Duc River. We appreciate your kind words and look forward to helping you explore more of this beautiful area in the future!

Beautiful views of the HOH rainforest, Ruby beach and Tree of life . Also thank you Beth for staying in touch

Unfortunately my trip got canceled but I did experience it myself with the itinerary Lauren sent me via email . She was the tour guide for our trip . Get well soon

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how disappointing it can be when plans change unexpectedly, especially when you have been looking forward to a unique and personalized experience. We immediately processed your refund and provided an itinerary to help you still experience the highlights. We're glad you were able to enjoy the beautiful Hoh Rainforest, though different than planned.

    They canceled two days before

We booked the tour in July for the end of August.spend over a$1000 just to find out that your was canceled two days before . Still waiting for my refund. No other tour guide to cover or other days to reschedule. I called couple of times someone was telling me that they will send me email with information . Never was received. I do plan my trip but one day I want it to have a guide and enjoy someone telling me about the area. Sad to say - unfortunately unreliable

Response from the operator: Hello, We do apologize again for the cancellation. As shared when we spoke twice on the phone, our team member had a family emergency that took them out of town for an unexpected reason. We do hate to cancel someone’s plans but always aim to help them have a wonderful experience despite the unexpected change. That is why we sent along an email with alternative providers as well as three personalized suggested itineraries with insider guide tips. However it sounds like this may not have been received which is very disappointing to hear! When we didn’t hear back, we concluded you were likely content with the information and good to go, but it seems like the address provided may not have accurate. We’ll be happy to follow up directly with Viator about the status of your refund, which we processed on our end immediately with the cancellation. We’ll follow up directly with any updates. Thank you!

Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Olympic National Park.

How much does Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike cost?

    +

Prices start at $397 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Olympic National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Olympic National Park is not rushed.

Is Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Olympic National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Olympic National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Olympic National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Olympic National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Olympic National Park?

    +

On Outty we rank every Olympic National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 5-Day Olympic Backpacking - Hoh Rainforest and the Blue Glacier, Olympic Two Day Private Tour and Hike, 4-Day Olympic Backpacking - Sol Duc and the Seven Lakes Basin. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Olympic National Park?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Olympic National Park?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
