This was a very interesting olive oil and wine tasting experience. Lots of details about the origins of the olives and grapes and how the Salento region is influenced by the sea on both coasts.

Not As Advertised.

Please do not waste your time or money! There was no olive oil tasting or mentioning of olive oil The guide was about 5 minutes late and appeared a bit disinterested in this event. He was quite busy taking care of customers in the bistro. We forgot to ask about olive oil. Wine samples were mediocre. No one purchased any. I’ve traveled to several other countries with wine tasting events and none were as disappointing as this.

Our wine and olive oil lovers are enthousiast about it, but we understand it is personal and that is fine. We are afraid you joined the wrong tasting table. Did you show up your voucher to the venue staff upon arrival to check your registration for the olive oil tasting? We are sorry you did not enjoy the wine you tasted. Purchasing the wine is optional, you don't need do. Next time, please make sure to show your booking voucher upon arrival for the experience you have booked. Kind regards

Not good enough

4 wines and 3 antipasti, which was okay No olive oil tasting unfortunately 😭 the name of the experience is olive oil and wine experience if we are not mistaken… 🤔🤔🤔

Correct wine- and olive tasting.

Very friendly service, not the ideal location. Tasted some of the local olive oils and then some wines that were accompanied with some regional dishes. Hoped to have a bit more elaborate wine tasting.

For an elaborate wine tasting a winery would probably be an ideal location matching your expectations. The atmosphere of our experience is friendly and relaxed from start to finish and ideal for just anyone, experts and no experts, a lovely way to immerse in the local olive oil and wine geography. Yet, for each tasting, we provide our guests with all relevant information and are always happy and skilled to reply to all of their questions regarding our guided tastings.

Disappointing experience

Well, where do I begin. I got my first impression via text since we had to reschedule the tasting from 12pm to 6pm, and that was no problem! We were glad they were so accomodating, so we finally arrived there at 5:50pm with a pleasant anticipation. There was a cooking class right inside, so we thought we'd wait outside until 6pm, somebody ought to get us or tell us where to go, right? Wrong! There were some tables and staff outside, too, but they ignored us the whole time, so we thought the person doing the tasting with us wasn't there yet. About 15 minutes later, we asked a guy, who was working there the whole time, about the tasting and that we had booked one online. He then showed us to a table outside. There was another group arriving, but I think they booked the tasting spontaneously (or at least not via Tripadvisor). The white wine was paired with cheese, and the rosé with bruschetta. The same guy who showed us to the table just started explaining, with no formal introduction or any welcome words. He gave us some information about the wines and food and always left us about 15mins for each tasting. But he always only looked at my boyfriend and not at me, he'd rather just look at the street, which I thought was very rude. I think we were lucky that the bigger group was there, too, because he did their tasting at the same time, so we wouldn't be unattended. After the rosé, there were two olive oil tastings, which he explained well, too. The other group only did a wine tasting and left after their red wine. That was the moment when they started neglecting us. There was a woman who brought us some honey to pair with the olive oil, which was nice. But after that, everybody just ignored us. We didn't know if there was something else coming or if it was the end of the tasting without any word. 45 minutes(!!!) later we got the attention of the guy who "guided" us through the tasting and asked him if there was a red wine tasting, too, or if it's finished. He then brought us a Primitivo, explained a few sentences, said this was the last one and then left. No "thank you for coming" or anything like that, we felt like we became invisible to them again. There was absolute no warm hospitality and we felt like we were some burden to them. The whole experience was extremely disappointing! So, if you would like to do a wine tasting in Lecce, for your sake, do it somewhere else!

It is not our habit to neglect anyone and we are sorry you had this impression. Also, tasting is an experience you enjoy taking the right time, the approach is not that one of a fast food. Wine and olive oil tasting deserves the right time (no rush) just like the other guests in the tasting rooms, both inside and outside did.
