    About this experience

Walking among centuries-old olive trees, admiring purebred horses or enjoying an extra virgin olive oil tasting are some of the experiences that fall in love when visiting Hacienda Guzmán. Discover the historic estate from which Hernando Colón, son of the discoverer, exported oil to the New World. The tour includes the 17th century mill, a faithful recreation of the traditional process of elaboration, which contrasts with the current innovation of our mill. The guided tour covers unique spaces such as the Olivoteca, with more than 150 varieties of olive trees from 13 countries; the R&D Center; the HG mill; the patio of the winery with its 15-meter mahogany beam; the patio of the manor; the stables; the carriage museum and the Andalusian garden. It ends with a guided tasting of our four varieties of EVOO and a special treat: a bottle of Hacienda Guzmán oil.

    What you'll see and do

    1. Hacienda Guzmán is much more than a place of production: it is a world benchmark in oil tourism that invites you to discover the evolution of olive oil, from its origins to the current innovation, in the heart of Andalusia. Its history dates back more than five centuries, when Hernando Colón, son of Christopher Columbus, exported the oil made on the estate to the New World. Between the 16th and 19th centuries, its three towers housed beam mills, making it one of the largest oil mills of the time. Today, the Hacienda preserves an original 17th-century mill with a 15-meter mahogany beam, where the traditional process is recreated, in contrast to the modern mill where one of the most select oils in the world is produced. Discover the historical, cultural and sensory richness of the olive oil universe in a unique environment.

    Fun and underrated experience!

Had a great time and learned so much about olives. The olive oil tasted great, even with the ice cream. Highly recommend!

So Much To Learn About Olive Oil - Seville

Isaac, the owner and GM of the Basilippo OO estate was a super host. Friendly, patient, and informative about the different types of olives (>300), how they're grown, harvested and processed. Knowing that he gives this tour probably close to 700X per year (just a guess), he made us feel like we were the only ones he ever talked to. Luis our driver was very friendly and did a great job too. A good team! We bought lots of primo OO from Basilippo.

    Basilippo Olive Farm

I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Seville. Alfonzo from Seville Moving was very informative and went above and beyond stopping at an extra stop to show us an old castle. Basilippo olive farm and the owner Isaac was amazing.

Response from the operator: Thank you Elizabeth for booking with us and sharing your vacation time with us. We really hope that you had a really good time with us and enjoyed Seville at its fullness. Alberto

    Very interesting

It was a very interesting and informative tour. We get to see different methods and taste different oils. Our driver was Mr. Javi he's very nice man and very helpful, he also speaks good English. He also took us to a small village on the way as we were a bit early. It was a nice time spent, will definitely recommend it

Response from the operator: Thanks you Shaden for trust in us for this trip and for the review. Hope you really enjoyed Seville. Alberto.

Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seville.

How much does Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $230 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seville is not rushed.

Is Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Seville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seville and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Oleotourism and olive oil tasting in Seville - Private tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seville?

    +

On Outty we rank every Seville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Seville Tapas Crawl Tour by Food Lover Tour, Seville: Paella & Tapas Cooking Class + Triana Market Tour, Sevilla Food Tour: Tapas, Wine, History & Traditions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seville?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
