A MUST DO!
My boyfriend and I missed a guided tour that we had booked for our day trip to Quebec City on our trip here. We were feeling down that we were going to miss out on seeing all the amazing sights. A quick Google search landed up on the World City Trails app, and a scavenger hunt to self guide our way through old Quebec City. The price was great so we thought, why not? Buying this scavenger hunt was a highlight of our trip. It was knowledgeable, fun, and being able to complete it at our own pace made it even better. We completed half before lunch and half after. Not to mention the cute little food attraction recommendations. We are getting ready for our second adventure with them tonight through the streets of Montreal! This is a MUST DO!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Caylee! 😊 Turning a missed guided tour into a highlight of your trip is exactly why we built World City Trail — and hearing you're already heading out through the streets of Montreal tonight makes our day! Knowledgeable, fun, at your own pace, with cute food stops along the way — that's the whole experience in a nutshell. Enjoy Montreal, and with 167 cities available your third adventure is already waiting! 🗺️

Awkward to use
I found the clues difficult to understand. I haven’t done many scavenger hunts like this so that could be why. My suggestion is to provide a bit more explanation of the answers like for example…
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We're sorry the clues weren't clear enough in Old Quebec. Your suggestion about explaining the answers more fully is a good one and we'll pass it to our team — we're actively working on making the puzzles easier to follow for first-timers. Our 24/7 chat at worldcitytrail.com/chat is also always there to help with any clue. We hope to welcome you on a smoother adventure soon! 🗺️

Nice informative tour
As the Quebec city Old Town is pretty small that tour covering most significant attractions at your own pace.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much! 😊 Covering the most significant attractions of Quebec's Old Town at your own pace — that's exactly what we want to offer! We hope to welcome you on another adventure in a different city soon! 🗺️

A Charming Way to Discover Old Québec
Québec City is incredibly picturesque, and this scavenger hunt made exploring it even more fun and immersive! The clues took us through cobblestone streets, historic landmarks, and hidden courtyards in Old Québec that felt straight out of Europe. We learned fascinating facts about the city’s French heritage while solving puzzles and enjoying the scenery. The freedom to stop for coffee or photos made it perfect. A fantastic experience , fun, educational, and beautifully designed!

Eats battery, but a fun activity.
This could have been the perfect way for us to see the city. We weren't sure if we each needed or own device (if you like to work as a group, one device is fine. It was nice that it was an option to use multiple devices.) The issue was the app ATE battery. We have two androids less than a year old and a brand new Iphone. All three went from full charge to less than 10% in a couple of hours. We had to go back to the hotel room to recharge our phones. Uninstalled the app, and the phones lasted the expected 24+ hours.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback and we're glad you found the activity fun and a great way to explore Quebec! 😊 We take your battery concern very seriously — three devices draining that rapidly is not the experience we want anyone to have and we have passed this information to our development team to investigate. You make a great practical point about one device being sufficient for a group — we'll make sure to highlight this more clearly in our instructions. We recommend keeping screen brightness low and closing background apps before starting to help preserve battery life. Please reach out to us at worldcitytrail.com/chat with your booking number and we'd love to find a solution for the interruption to your experience. Thank you for the constructive feedback — it genuinely helps us improve! 🗺️

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quebec City.
How much does Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $4 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quebec City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quebec City is not rushed.
Is Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quebec City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quebec City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quebec City and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Old Quebec Scavenger Hunt & Highlights Self-Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quebec City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Quebec City?
+
On Outty we rank every Quebec City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old Quebec Classique Walking Tour with Funicular, Uncover Old Quebec: Fun Walking Tour with a guide-Gratuity based, Quebec City Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quebec City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quebec City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
