    A great day out

The best day out I have had! A wonderful host and ambassador to his country and community. Sharing his knowledge and experiences with me made it highly personable and less like a guided tour and more like sightseeing with family

Outstanding Private Tour of Old & New Delhi with an Amazing Guide & Driver

I had an excellent full-day private tour of Old and New Delhi, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. A special thanks to our driver, Ram Pal Singh, who was professional, punctual, and ensured a smooth and comfortable journey throughout the day despite Delhi's busy traffic. His driving was safe, and the vehicle was clean and well-maintained. Our English-speaking guide, Gaurav Giri, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Delhi's rich history and culture. He explained every monument and attraction in detail, answered all my questions patiently, and made the experience both informative and enjoyable. His English was excellent, making communication effortless. The itinerary was well planned, covering the highlights of both Old and New Delhi without feeling rushed. From the historic sites of Old Delhi to the impressive landmarks of New Delhi, every stop was memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Delhi. If you have the opportunity, ask for Gaurav Giri as your guide and Ram Pal Singh as your driver—you will be in excellent hands. Thank you for making my visit to Delhi such a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

Excellent tour from a great guide and driver

A great tour from Karan and the driver Raju; plenty of cool clean water on hand whilst driving along in a thankfully air conditioned car. Karan was very knowledgeable, pointing out good places for taking photographs and providing great information on the history of the area. The highlight of this tour for me to be the Qutub Minar which really gives an idea of how magnificent their old buildings are. The food stops were a very good choice with plenty of dishes to choose from both eastern and western.

Super Eye Opening to Diverse Cultures

Karan and Raju are an amazing duo who took care of us all tour. Karan is super entertaining and energetic, bringing Delhi history to life at each stop. While we are out enjoying the sights, Raju is kind enough to replenish our water so that we are able to withstand the Delhi heat. Overall, the stops were carefully curated to showcase the rich and diverse cultures of India, where even the most knowledgeable guest would learn something new on this tour. I would highly recommend this tour, especially for first timers, as you explore everything Delhi has to offer in just a day. It's worth fitting this experience into your India itinerary if you only have limited time to spend.

Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Old & New Delhi Private Sightseeing Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
