Egyptian Museum / Citadel / Khan Khalili

We had such a great experience learning about Egypt at these locations from Emo tour guide, Tonsi! He kept our pace with abundant information! We had personal time at the museum after he showed us around. Tonsi exposed us to Egyptian food culture while we were in Khan Khalili. We had Koshari for lunch, Turkish coffee, tea w/ mint, and hibiscus tea at cafe, and on way out, drank Asab El Sokar (sugarcane juice), all in Khan Khalili! He was great in helping me find the deals that I wanted while shopping too!!! Crazy driving in Cairo/Giza, but we felt so safe with Yosef, our driver! Truly an experience! This was our second tour day with them both at our request! Thanks Emo for sending them our way!

Flexible to suit our schedule!

Since we would be reaching Cairo at 6 a.m. and it would have been impossible for us to start the tour at 9 a.m. with a 1 year old, we contacted Emo Tours beforehand to arrange for the tour to start at 12 p.m. instead. They were happy to do this (at no additional cost), which allowed us to have the full day tour at our convenience, thus not losing 1 day of sight-seeing! We kept the Bazaar for last as it's open until late at night. We enjoyed our tour but were a little bit disappointed with the Museum as many artifacts are being / have been moved to the new Museum. It however remains a wonderful place to visit and our guide made this all the more interesting with snippets of information and things that we would otherwise have missed.

So much to see! Great company!

This was a very full day and Abdul made it worth while! He was so full of knowledge about the citadel and the artifacts in the museum and took his time explaining when I had questions. He took me for an amazing lunch and we enjoyed some hookah and Egyptian tea as well. Abdul also helped me shop at the bizarre and got me a deal! The food was the highlight but Abdul was a a close second :)

Response from the operator: Dear Our Valued Customer First of all we would like to convey our heartiest thanks to you for your wonderful Feedback We are sure that Without your Feedback, it would not have been possible at all for any other travelers to know about who we are we are happy that you and your family enjoyed the day We appreciate your time and efforts in Providing a feedback to us . How many days do you need in Giza?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
