If I could give this tour...
If I could give this tour a zero I would. Tour was scheduled for 2pm. We made our way to Old Dubai City and spent 73 Aed to get there. We were on time. We waited and waited no guide. We called , we messaged no guide. We finally did our own thing at 2:45pm. Very disappointed as we were looking forward to this tour.

Awful Experience and Scam Tour Guide
I regret to say that my experience with this tour guide was utterly awful, and I feel compelled to warn others. This tour guide became increasingly aggressive and insisted we pay him extra money despite the tour was booked under a free tour platform. The guide rushed us through only a few streets. At the beginning of the tour, the guide was friendly but soon became aggressive when it was time to discuss payment, the guide insisted that additional payments were required, despite this tour was only tip based tour. After offering him a tip, he demanded more money. He forced us that we go to a nearby ATM cash machine to withdraw more money under duress. This was not only completely inappropriate, but also deeply unsettling. When questioned him, he became hostile, pressuring making us feel unsafe and even threaten us that he would call the police. The situation escalated when the guide demanded and coerced into withdrawing money from my account to pay him. The tour guide followed me to the ATM, continued to pressure me, and displayed threatening behaviour when I hesitated to comply. He even followed us to the cash machine and stood there while we withdrew money, which was a very distressing experience. This was not only a scam but also an abuse of trust and power. No one should have to deal with this kind of behaviour while on holiday, and I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this tour and this guide in particular. Please be cautious and always double-check the terms before booking any tours to avoid being taken advantage of like we were.
Response from the operator: I’m sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience. However, I’d like to clarify what actually happened. The tour lasted over 2.5 hours, during which I guided you and your daughter through key cultural and historical areas. As clearly mentioned on my tour page, the expected tip range is normally between €15–€50 per person. At the end of the tour, you gave me 20 dirhams (approximately $5.50) for both of you, which is significantly below the stated . When I kindly pointed this out, you mentioned that you had not seen this information. To ensure clarity, I showed you the details on my booking page and even asked your daughter to read it aloud for verification. Additionally, during the tour, I paid for your water, tea, and a boat ride for both of you as part of my effort to enhance your experience. Despite this, you still offered an amount far below the minimum stated on my page. I simply reminded you of the expected contribution, and you voluntarily went to the ATM to withdraw the remaining balance. I even walked you back to the metro station to ensure you found your way safely. At no point was there any aggression or coercion—only a fair request for the minimum contribution clearly stated before booking. I always strive to provide an excellent experience for my guests, and I regret that you felt otherwise. Wishing you safe travels ahead.

A cool pleasant fun evening walking tour with an excellent Hisam
Hisam was an excellent walking tour guide and a friend. He was patient, explained the history of seef and the markets, took us on an Abra tour (and he even paid for it) and allowed us to try and experience the markets at our own pace while explaining the sights and attractions. We did the evening tour and it was cool and pleasant. Hisam was also encouraging us to take pics and he was happy to click it for us. We met some nice folks as a part of the walking tour. Overall an evening well spent. I will love Hisam to do more tours. It was a tip as you like tour and Hiam was absolutely fine with whatever the participants chose to tip. It was super comfortable. (folks please tip well, its worth it). Hisam - would love to meet you next time we are in Dubai

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubai.
How much does Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales take?
+
Plan for about 3.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubai is not rushed.
Is Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubai and add a light layer if any part of the 3.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Old Dubai Walk, Souk, Street Foods, Al Fahidi and Al Seef Tales start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubai?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5* BBQ at Al Khayma Camp, Dubai: Red Dunes Safari, Quad, Camel, Dune Bash, BBQ & Shows, Dubai Evening Desert Safari Dune Bashing, BBQ Dinner & Live Shows. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
