What you get

    About this experience

Now shall I walk or shall I ride? 'Ride,' Pleasure said; 'Walk,' Joy replied.” Come and have fun with us on our Walking Tour! We will be seeing some heritage sites, ruins of old palaces, narrow by lanes, bustling bazaars, old forgotten havelis with long history, bullock carts, local craftsmen, old women with rosaries in their hands, masala chai vendors, marigold flowers .....and the list is endless. The route has been planned painstakingly, with the help of experts in the field of history to include some prominent sites and some hidden wonders. We will also be sampling the popular street food of Old Delhi. Another key feature which makes our walk different is the wireless Audio Head Sets provided to each guest to enable them to listen to uninterrupted live commentary given by the tour guide. Your local guide will also be showing you the ‘Then & Now’ pictures and share some interesting stories while you will be soaking the city.

    Private Tour of Old Delhi

Very interesting tour that combines the discovery of the hidden places of old Delhi, the visit of temples and monuments as well as tasting of local specialities. My guide was very friendly, attentive and we were able to discuss the cultural specificities of India. I recommend this visit! Contacts with the agency are very simple and responsive.

Great way to experience Old Delhi

At first, the use of wireless headsets seemed odd - it's not really necessary at the Friday Mosque where our tour started. But once we got into the Chandni Chowk (Old Delhi Market), the wisdom of the headsets was very clear. The market is so busy and crowded, the wireless headsets allow the guide to talk to you and narrate what you're seeing while you walk; otherwise you'd have to stop every time the guide wanted to show you something and it would still be hard to hear. Our guide Saurav had interesting historical insights into all the places we passed through, and was very flexible in terms of where we wanted to spend more or less time. Highly recommended as a good way to experience the old city in a half day.

    Great Experience!

I very much appreciated the tour, both for the nice ride and for the hi-tech wireless earphones we received to better listen to the interesting explanations of our guide. Strongly recommended to get the feeling of old Delhi!

Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary cost?

    +

Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Old Delhi - Walking Tour with wireless audio head sets for live commentary start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
