Chef brings confidence to hungry travellers.

Adi was is a very friendly expert in local food. Without him we would not even known where to start nor we would we have been brave enough to eat street food in India. He took us to many strange and fascinating places and arranged lots of weird and wonderful delicacies. He catered for my wife's food allergies and made us feel special and above all safe in this hustle and bustle they call the streets of India.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏 We’re truly happy to hear that you felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the experience. Adi is passionate about sharing Delhi’s food culture, and it means a lot to know that the stories, flavours, and hidden spots made your journey special. Creating a safe and enjoyable street-food experience — especially while carefully managing dietary needs — is always our priority. We hope the memories (and the flavours!) stay with you long after your trip, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Delhi again soon 🌟🍽️.

Gastronomical indulgence

A wonderful personalised tour tasting some incredible authentic and traditional foods with fascinating commentary by our accompanying chef Aditya. A wonderful way to experience and get to know Old Delhi as we also got to do a rickshaw ride and visit the spice market.

Response from the operator: Namaste and thanks a lot for taking the time to write this review. Your feedback and kind words are appreciated.

Very good tour old Delhi

Me and my friend had a Delhi food tour with Aditya. I was very impressed. He took us to some brilliant places we wouldn’t have stopped at otherwise, and we enjoyed some delicious street food. Also had great knowledge of the history of the area, the food and ingredients.

Response from the operator: Namaste and thanks a lot for writing this review. We really appreciate it.

Great tour with a fantastic guide

I've done several food tours in different countries, and this was one of the best. What really made it stand out was having Aditya as my guide. He's a professional chef by training, and you can tell he loves food. We went to some great places I would never have chosen on my own. Also, he's a really cool guy who you can totally connect with. I've done some other tours before, and while the guides were fluent in English, they weren't people I could see myself hanging out with. This was like taking a tour with a friend.

Response from the operator: Namaste and thanks a lot for writing this review. Your feedback and kind words are appreciated.

Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef cost?

+

Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef take?

+

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Old Delhi Food Walk With Chef start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

+

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
