    EPIC day fishing!

Our 4 hour excursion was EPIC! We had 5 bites and caught 3 yellow fin and 1 skip jack! At one time we had 4 lines lit up!! Captain Jamie and Josiah were so much fun and joined in our celebration! We cooked the tuna for dinner and it was delicious! Memory last a lifetime!

    Perfect boat for ash scattering

I arranged an ash scattering at sea for my client who traveled from Japan. They were extremely pleased with the experience. The boat is luxurious, very comfortable, and simply perfect for cruising.

Response from the operator: Thank you for trusting us with such a special moment!

Epic 4-Hour Fishing Trip — Great Crew, Beautiful Boat, Big Catches 🎣

We had an incredible 4-hour sport fishing trip yesterday with a group of 11, and it couldn’t have gone better. Captain Andy, Mate Lucas, and (I believe) 2nd Mate Ana were all fantastic—professional, friendly, and made the whole experience both fun and seamless. The yacht, the Iwa Kai, was absolutely beautiful and fully loaded. Between the hot tub, spacious upper and lower decks, and even a full kitchen, it felt more like a luxury experience than just a fishing trip. Captain Andy was constantly scanning the water with his binoculars, tracking birds and putting us right where the action was. His experience really showed. Thanks to that, we landed a 25 lb tuna and an impressive 90 lb marlin. Lucas and Ana were awesome throughout—guiding us on how to reel in the fish, helping with technique, and handling everything like pros when it came time to gaff them. A huge bonus was Lucas filleting the tuna right on the dock afterward so we could take it back and grill it later—such a great touch. Overall, it was a perfect day on the water filled with laughs, excitement, and some unforgettable catches. Highly recommend this crew and the Iwa Kai to anyone looking for a top-tier fishing experience.

Response from the operator: This is exactly the kind of experience we are hoping to create on every trip with us! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and we are so glad that you enjoyed your time out and left with some good fish to eat as well! We hope you can join us again someday!

Avoid: Prioritizes profit over customer safety and experience

We booked this charter primarily for snorkeling, with sightseeing and fishing as secondary goals. Despite calling twice before the trip to express concerns about a 30 mph wind forecast, we were repeatedly told it was fine to proceed. On the day of the trip, the conditions were so poor that other local companies canceled their snorkeling tours. Our captain even explicitly stated that snorkeling was unsafe. We pivoted to whale watching, but saw nothing due to the weather; the conditions were so miserable we had to cut the trip short. Most disappointing was the company’s response. When I reached out, they claimed snorkeling was still possible "for strong swimmers"—a reckless statement considering we had children with us and the waves were objectively dangerous. It’s clear this business prioritizes keeping your money over customer safety and satisfaction. Avoid this company; they do not have their customers' best interests in mind.

Response from the operator: Mahalo for your feedback. A quick note: the Captain has full discretion to assess safety within a 72 hour window, and guests may cancel or reschedule earlier. Safety is our priority, and non swimmers are often advised not to snorkel. This trip involved a non guided snorkel, with a second, safer spot chosen based on conditions. We acknowledge the experience wasn’t ideal for young children, including the 3 year old, and appreciate your concerns. In response, we offered 12 complimentary bottom fishing spots, though we recognize you received this after your trip and were off island to utilize it. The crew worked to maximize the arrangements given the weather, and future guests can expect clearer guidance on weather variability. Wildlife sightings included a manta ray and monk seal. Thank you again for helping us improve! We’re committed to safer, more predictable experiences for all guests.

Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters cost?

    +

Prices start at $1675 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ohana Yachts Sport Fishing & Luxury Charters start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
