Half day well spent.
Remco was right on time Tuesday morning to pick us up at our hotel in Amsterdam. Once on our way he asked if we were ready to see the countryside and see places you might not normally see and the four of us agreed. First stop was to learn about cheese and clog making and it was just the four of us with this private tour at this stop could not have asked for better way to start. Next off to see some countryside and windmills. Remco was very friendly and provided plenty of good information and commentary as we spent the 1/2 day with him getting plenty of pictures of the countryside and enjoying the scenery. Was so glad we took this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the nice review. Glad you enjoyed. XXX

Off the beaten path for sure.
Our driver and guide Remco was promptly waiting at 9:30 am. He took us on a fact filled , picturesque tour of the Dutch country side. We did a brief stop at a cheese and clog shoppe as well which was good for a bathroom break and to buy water. Remco was very enthusiastic and filled with assorted fun facts.
Response from the operator: Nice review...thanks....so what's missing for a five star then ? LOL Thanks for great company Toronto Canada. Warm regards from XXX

Fun guide, nice car, beautiful countryside!
Really enjoyed our time with Remco! He was super easy to communicate with before the tour, and easy to find when he picked us up at the airport. His car was very nice. He drove us all around the countryside and showed us some dikes, dairy farms, windmills, canals, lots of pastures, etc. It was so peaceful in the countryside. We saw lots of animals, including sheep, cows, horses, goats, chickens, even a few turkeys. We stopped at a dairy farm to taste the milk. Then we stopped at our request at the cheese and wood shoemaking factory. This was a really fun visit! It was a little touristy, but more authentic than the other places I had been our previous visits to Amsterdam. There were not hordes of people! We learned all about the cheese-making process and how they make wooden shoes. They had a very nice gift shop where we purchased our souvenirs and tasted lots and lots of cheeses. We tried to stop at a dairy farm and pet the sheep, but they were afraid of us and ran away. Remco told us lots of stories about growing up in the area and how much it has changed. He was very personable and fun to be around. We really enjoyed our day with him and highly recommend this tour!
Response from the operator: Thanks for the sweet words Mel and Mummie. Warm regards from XXX

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar cost?
+
Prices start at $500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Off the Beaten Paths Dutch Landscape Private Tour 1/2 day Jaguar start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
