Seeing Dorsoduro Through New Eyes
Today I had the pleasure of joining Valerio’s Off the Beaten Path Walk through Dorsoduro. I thought I knew this district well, but I left seeing it from a completely different perspective. One of the highlights for me was our visit to the Church of San Pantalon. I had been there before, but thanks to Valerio’s explanations, even inside one of its beautiful chapels, I noticed details and meanings I would never have discovered on my own. Valerio is exceptionally knowledgeable, but what truly sets him apart is the way he shares his passion. History, local traditions, art, and even the iconic films shot in the very places we were exploring all came together naturally, making every stop meaningful and memorable. What I appreciated most was that this wasn’t just a walking tour, it was an invitation to slow down, look beyond the obvious, and experience Venice in a much more authentic way.
