The best food tour/experience Oaxaca has to offer!
I honestly cannot say enough about this experience! It's not like any other food tour and it definitely isn't filled with your regular tourist spots. Ivan is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about his Oaxacan roots. Throughout the night we saw that come through in the various locations he took us to. Along the way we learned about the food we were about to eat, the history behind it and what makes it so special. The food was on another level, making it some of the best meals we've had in Oaxaca. From little family owned cenadurias to taquerias that champion indigenous culture to cuisine to specific Oaxaca regions, the food we ate was delicious and went straight to the soul. Ivan's colleague Sigrid also joined us and the two of them went out of their way to make this experience one to remember. Cannot thank them both enough. I would recommend this tour, Ivan and his team and Valterra Excursions overall 100 times over. :)

A Good Tour with Great Food and a history lesson!
Ivan was absolutely incredible! Super knowledgeable explaining the history of the food and how it is tied to the history of Oaxaca. The transportation was handled smoothly and seamlessly with some absolute hidden gems for food along the way. 10/10 recommended

The best guide and tour!
An excellent way to get to know Oaxaca's food beyond the tourist spots. We tried several things that we probably never would have found on our own. Iván knows the city very well and explained each dish and place we visited to us. Go hungry because there is so much to try.
