    A captive audience...

The tour guide talked incessantly. Seriously....the ENTIRE TIME. It would have been great if he spent the time telling us about the areas and attractions, but he used the opportunity to stress his personal beliefs about socio-political affairs. He also spent a great deal of time sharing his story of loss and imploring us to value our relationships. I honestly felt that he had very poor situational awareness. It was inappropriate and made me feel like I was trapped. Very tiring! The Island is so beautiful and so is the culture. I wish he could have focused the tour comments solely on that and allowed us some quiet time to soak it all in.

Response from the operator: Aloha Renee, Mahalo for taking the time to share this with us. We’re sorry that this was your experience, and we appreciate you being so specific about what made you uncomfortable. Our guides definitely have their own personalities and stories, and that can be part of what makes a local tour special. But we also agree there needs to be a balance. Our guests came to experience Hawaiʻi — our beautiful island, culture, history, people, and the places you’re visiting. Personal political or social views should never become such a large part of the day that a guest feels uncomfortable or, as you described it, “trapped.” We also completely understand your point about having some quiet time. Sometimes part of experiencing Hawaiʻi is simply being able to look out the window, take in the scenery, and enjoy where you are. We will be sharing your feedback with the tour operator and guide because this is something they need to hear. We’re glad you were still able to appreciate the beauty of the island and our culture, but we’re sorry that the commentary took away from what should have been a much more enjoyable experience. Mahalo again for your honest feedback. It helps us recognize where we can do better. With Aloha, VIP Tours & Activities ʻOhana 🌺🤙

    This tour was a 10/10

Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the island, the people, and important facts. The different activities was very inclusive for young and old.

Response from the operator: Aloha Deborah, Mahalo nui loa for the 10/10! 🌺 We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed the tour and that your guide was able to share so much about Hawaiʻi, our people, and the history of the island. We also love hearing that you felt the tour was enjoyable for both the young and the young at heart. That’s exactly what we hope for — a fun day where everyone in the family can experience a little bit of what makes Oʻahu so special. Thank you for choosing VIP Tours & Activities and for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate it! Hope to see you back in Hawaiʻi again someday. Ohau Ultimate Circle Tour

Kathleen & King were very informative tour guides as well as being entertaining. I would recommend visitors take this tour when they first arrive.

Response from the operator: Aloha Theresa, Mahalo nui loa for the kind words! We’re so happy to hear that Kathleen and King made the day both informative and entertaining. We’ll definitely pass that along to them. And we couldn’t agree more about doing the Circle Island Tour early in your trip. It’s a great way to get out and see different parts of Oʻahu, learn a little about the island, and get a feel for some of the places you may want to come back and explore. Thank you for choosing VIP Tours & Activities and for recommending us to other visitors. We really appreciate it! With Aloha, VIP Tours & Activities ʻOhana 🌺🤙

Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More cost?

    +

Prices start at $94 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 127 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More?

    +

Around 44 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Oahu's Ultimate Grand Circle Island Tour with Snorkeling and More start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
