    About this experience

On this tour, you will not only visit the places where GOT was filmed, but you will also learn about the history of Split. It is a perfect combination for an ancient history and GOT buff! Your guide, in addition to being an experienced local guide, is also a true GOT fan who will entertain you with interesting stories from the shooting of the series.Sightseeing begins in the basements of the monumental Diocletian's Palace. The palace was built in 305 AD as a retirement home of the Roman emperor. His palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was the foundation of today's Split. In the series, the streets of Split and the basements of Diocletian's palace were transformed into Meereen, the city that Daenerys conquered and in which she freed the slaves. On the tour, we will visit where the fights between the Unsullieds and Sons of the Harpy were filmed, where Daenerys imprisoned the dragons, and many other filming locations. At the end, you will have the opportunity to sit on an actual Throne.

    Victoria, our guide, was...

Victoria, our guide, was an absolute pleasure. She was as knowledgeable about the palace and Split in general. I would highly recommend this tour. Her photo book helped us remember the game of thrones scenes that were shot in and around the palace. At the end she recommended other places to visit while we were in Split. She made us feel very welcomed.

    Would do it again

I had the absolute pleasure of having Viktoria as our tour guide, and I can't recommend her enough! From the moment we met, she was incredibly warm and welcoming, making everyone feel comfortable and excited for the day ahead. Her knowledge about the area was extensive, but what really stood out was her ability to tailor the tour to our needs and interests, ensuring we had the best experience possible. Viktoria was not only informative but also genuinely kind, always checking in with us to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Whether it was answering questions, offering helpful tips, or just being a friendly presence, she went above and beyond to make our day special. Her accommodating nature and attention to detail truly made the tour an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a guide who is both knowledgeable and incredibly thoughtful, Viktoria is the perfect choice!

    Best tour guide!

Excellent tour! Viktoria is very knowledgeable and friendly. She took my family of 4 on a Game of Thrones inspired tour of Split. She knows a lot about GOT and had a book of pictures from the show so we could recall specific scenes as we toured places where the show was filmed. We also learned a lot from her about Split and Croatia! She is fabulous for all ages. Highly recommend!!

    Fantastic Guide! Definitely recommend

Our private tour of Split with Viktoria, our Guide, was brilliant! We were skilfully led around places of interest and areas you would not necessarily find yourselves. Viktoria provided an overview of the City’s incredible history with an impressive depth of knowledge and detail, delivered with enthusiasm and humour. Game of Thrones locations were highlighted and accompanied with salient facts, amusing anecdotes and pictures depicting scenes from the series to jog your memories. Any questions were answered informatively and honestly and as we exchanged personal experiences, were rewarded with an appreciation of Croatia’s history and way of life. Recommendations on where to eat and where to visit inside and around Split made for an all encompassing must do tour with Viktoria, a lovely, intimate and entertaining way to discover a beautiful city and its people.

    Perfect GOT + history

From the moment we met our guide Viktoia and she outlined our tour, we knew it was going to be a fun ride! We are a family of GOT fans but also enjoy local history of places we visit. She provided us the perfect amalgam of both as she herself is a GOT fan as well as a knowledgeable historian. Her energy is infectious and she has created the perfect GOT Split tour for any fan of the show. The pictures are a great touch! Where did the time go? Highly recommend!

"Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.

How much does "Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does "Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.

Is "Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule "Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is "Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book "Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does "Not Today" - Game of Thrones and History of Split Private Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
