Not enjoyable at all due...
Not enjoyable at all due to the guide trying to be funny and would not stop talking. We didn’t see the Northern Lights which was fine as this is what is expected however the guy was unbearable and ruined the trip.

Bonza experience that delighted the wife and a great way to celebrate our 50th anniversary!
We were very lucky with the Northern Lights showing well above the boat before we set sail. The lights put on an excellent show throughout the cruise with great explanatory commentary throughout and we got several great photographs (among the dozens of snaps!).

Have the best experience in Reykjavik
We have been on an Aurora Boat Tour with another company. The boat on this tour was not big and the rooms were almost full. It may have been cancelled due to poor aurora conditions the day before and there were two days of passengers on board. Some guests didn't seem to find their chairs. (But that may indicate its popularity.) We saw the Northern Lights last night. We enjoyed the Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Spring tour and also we were very happy to see Aurora on our last night. The rooms while you are waiting are warm and there is also one toilet. The pictures were blurred 10 years ago because the ship moves up and down in the waves while watching the Northern Lights. However, modern cameras and smartphones have excellent image stabilization, and with only this ship's jolt the pictures didn't shake and we were able to capture the Northern Lights beautifully. In addition to the comments above, I would like to thank the staff who immediately responded to my request the following day after hearing the cancellation notice the day before. Their response was great and very reassuring!
Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you were able to see the Northern Lights and capture them so beautifully. It’s also great to know the onboard explanations and warm indoor facilities added to your experience. We appreciate your understanding regarding the busy conditions, which can happen when tours are rescheduled due to weather. Most importantly, we’re very happy to hear our team was able to assist you quickly and make you feel well taken care of. Thank you again for your kind words. Best regards, Reykjavik Sailors Team

No aurora but plenty of fun
Everyone running the tour was fantastic. No aurora but the view of the city was amazing. The were making waffles on board and my son devoured one

This enchanting experience promises to be one of the highlights of your visit, allowing you to witness the breathtaking beauty of the Aurora Borealis in all its glory. We look forward to welcoming you back and sharing this incredible adventure with you in the future. Your presence would add a special touch to the tour, making it even more memorable. Best regards, The Reykjavik Sailors Team

Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Silfra Snorkeling Between Continents Photos Included- Self Drive, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Northern Lights Boat Tour with Hot Chocolate and Free Retry?
