Fortunately Vietnam Real Tour subcontracted to another agency

Very nice excursion, Nin Binh is magic! The problem is Vietnam Real Tour. When we booked there was a Limousine Bus option for 8€ more, we took it because in the photos sent by Vietnam Real Tour the bus was very luxurious. Problem is, this is definitely not the bus we took. So he was fine, no problem. BUT, we don't send pictures of another bus to lure the tourist when the service is not delivered with that bus. Personally I think it's borderline scam. Fortunately, the service was outsourced to another agency and we had a very good guide and a very pleasant excursion. Even our guide was embarrassed when I told him that it was not the planned bus and especially that it did not match the photos sent. It's really like we're pigeons! Also on other excursion booked at Vietnam Real Tour on the Me Kong Delta, initially we are told no pick up at your hotel it is out of sector, okay, no worries we will take a taxi to get us to the pick up point. We arrive in Ho Chi Min and I receive a message from them telling us to pick us up at your hotel, I ask for confirmation and they confirm. You're sure of it, yes, no worries. The next day, the subcontractor who had nothing to do with it, tells us where are you we waiting for you at the pick-up point? Big trouble to explain that Vietnam Real Tour told us in front of the hotel, contrary to the previous info, and there no help from Vietnam Real Tour, it is the subcontractor who still came to pick us up, putting the whole excursion late. He even paid us the taxi back to our hotel being sorry for what had happened. I contacted Vietnam Real Tour but they did nothing and didn't even reply and no apology. Without this subcontractor really very nice and very professional I will say that we must flee Vietnam Real Tours!

Excellent Tour

Excellent tour. Our guide Binh was very organized… gave us clear instructions on meeting times and places and kept the tour schedule running smoothly. Binh gave us alot of interesting information on the history of Vietnam as well as the places we were visiting. Binh made sure everyone was having a good time and offered to take pictures for us. Mr. Kwan is a safe and friendly driver and helped keep the tour on schedule. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Thank you Binh and Mr. Kwan!

Ninh Bin rowing and hiking

We were staying in Hanoi in Oct 22. Advance communication by WhattsApp was great, picked up on time. Su-nny was our guide and was lovely. We visited 2 temples and he was super informative. Ladies - if you are wearing short shorts or minis you will need to drape a long skirt on (they have loads of these). He gave us great advice on the rowing boat trip (what to expect etc.). You have to do the rowing boat experience - one of the hightlights of our trip. We somehow managed to book the tour without the rwoing option so had to upgrade when we got there (which was about 200k (£9) If you have a choice of climbing or cycling take the climbing (hiking) - although there are 500+steps! I would also suggest to go left at the split of the steps and make sure you go right to the top ;) Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Dear Martin We are very happy to read your friendly and lovely words about our services on TripAdvisor which makes us love much our job. I would forward your kind words to Sunny - your tourguide on the trip. He was so happy to hear it and would send his thanks to you. We were so glad to see that you have enjoyed the trip and understand our culture for visiting the temple, pagoda. Your sentiment makes us much more energetic to serve our tourist better and better. It is really greatly to read your emotional words on here. We hope to have the chance meeting your family and friend one day in near future. Thank you very much for you review and wish you all the best. Best wishes! Manh & Vietnam Real Tour team! WhatsApp: +84 976 242 887

Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi cost?

+

Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc & Mua Cave Day Trip from Hanoi start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
