Nice two days spent out of Hanoi

Our two days could not have been more different. The first day, with pick up from Hanoi, transfer to the various sites and drop off at our homestay was like perfect clockwork and our guide knew his business. Second day.. firstly we were forgotten by our transfer pickup and spent an anxious hour trying to figure out what to do. The bus eventually found us but this already put the day well behind. Cave of early man was great, we then spent a VERY long drive out to a forest sanctuary where our large group slowly shuffled along a very muddy and uninteresting trail to see nothing in particular. Lunch was good then another very long drive to the monkey sanctuary. A short stop there then back on the bus for another very long drop off at Tram An to be forgotten again then eventually transferred back to Hanoi. Our guide on this day was a really nice guy but he was super nervous and his English was poor at best. Not his fault though. My advice..stick to the one day trip or this tour needs to drop the forest section. It was a waste of precious time for nothing particularly interesting.

Wow it was so good!

a two day excursion to ninh binh is a highlight of our trip. the second day was perhaps even more beautiful than the first day. we visited the jungle which was completely covered in butterflies. the travel organization was helpful, quick to reach but also extremely friendly. during the excursion they were present in the background to answer questions. That was so nice, because then you didn't have to worry for a moment.

Great trip! Brilliant guide!

We really enjoyed our trip and our guide was brilliant! Efficient pick up & drop off at our hotel and we enjoyed our bike ride to the ancient city. We loved the boat trip - our skipper rowed with her feet and was great at taking photos! The hike up the 500 steps was hard in the heat but worth it for the amazing views from the top. Our homestay was fab with lovely food and a cool clean room and a karaoke!! The next day we visited the primate rescue centre which was interesting, we hiked in the jungle and found loads of bugs! The cave of primitive man was amazing too. A very good trip and recommend it highly.

Response from the operator: Dear Gardner, Warmest greeting from Easytours24h, Thank you so much for using our Ninh Binh 2 Day trip & sharing brilliant reviews to every one! We're very happy when you enjoy all services & activites. Ninh Binh is very beautiful & June is the best time to visit. Tam Coc panorama views from Mua cave peak is excellents. Great tour with stunning locations

This tour was great fun! Everything was very well organised and our guide Leo was lovely and full of all the information you needed. Lots of historical facts and detailed stories. The locations were interesting and beautiful, with good variations of adventure such as cycling, hiking up (many) steps and a boat ride...it had everything! The boat trip in particular was stunning, and the hike was definitely worth it for the amazing views!! Our Homestay at Little Riverside Bungalows was delightful and just what was needed after a busy active day. We are SO glad we stayed the night instead of going back to Hanoi right away. Nice pool and a scenic dinner out by the river bank (the food was amazing!). The owners were wonderful people and we had a great night here! Day 2: the primate sanctuary was interesting to see and inspiring to see the good, hard work these people do. The hike on this day was very humid and in much more dense jungle so I would recommend a light top. Sadly it was not a round route hike, just one way and then back the same route but it was nice nonetheless. We then got to see a prehistoric cave which was also fascinating. We then met up with the bus again later on and it all went smoothly back to Hanoi. Like I said, very organised. And we even had time for a swim after this hike on day 2 to cool down as well, bliss! Lovely people and lovely places. Definitely recommend!

Response from the operator: Dear Shea McAinsh Gardner, Warmest greeting from Easytours24h, Thank you so much for your using our services on Ninh Binh 2 days trip & sharing wonderful reviews. This is a special option tour to Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave & Cuc Phuong national park with lots of interesting activities such as boat ride, bikes, hiking moutain... The night at Bungalow was excellent when everyone shared stories & sing karaoke together on the river bank. We're very happy when you enjoy all services: staff, meals, bungalow, activities... We're glad to meet you & looking forward to seeing you very soon, One again, thank you so much for sharing detail experiences with amazing words, we will keep our hard work to bring clients the best experiences like you! Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong cost?

+

Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong suitable for kids and families?

+

How far in advance should I book Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ninh Binh 2 days,1 night from Hanoi: Hoa Lu - Mua Cave - Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong start and how do I get there?

+

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
