Nile Cruise From Luxor to Aswan 4 Nights Full Board With Guide and Sightseeing

Great sights but would book elsewhere. We booked a 4 day/3 night Nile Cruise through Look at Egypt Tours. Based on our experience, we would not use this company again. Itinerary: Our itinerary was changed and we weren't notified about the changes until we were on the boat. The boat left 24 hours later than originally planned. Had we known this sooner, we would have planned to arrive later or visit Abu Simbel. Instead, our guide gave us two options for tours we could choose (at additional cost) but wanted an answer within 15 minutes. We just had way too much down time that we hadn't planned for. We also got in Luxor later than planned so did almost every sight on the itinerary in one day! Our original itinerary showed the sights split between two days which we would have preferred. Guide: While our guide was knowledgeable about the sights visited, he lacked elsewhere. Not very personable, never gave us an overview of the itinerary - always hour by hour it seemed. And the worst part was that he was on his phone ALL THE TIME! It was so excessive! Other: My emails were promptly replied to prior to the trip; however, I had to keep asking for a payment link to be sent when we were within 30 days of travel. Never had to "beg" a company to take my money before. They also charged more than my original quote said with no explanation as to why it increased. Overall, the itinerary we booked felt nothing like what we got and there was a major lack of communication about these changes. This paired with a guide who couldn't put his phone down left us wishing we had booked elsewhere. Therefore, we would not recommend this company. All this to say, we did enjoy the sights visited and would absolutely recommend a Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor. We did enjoy the cruise, it was just not as presented. We realize cruise itineraries can change, but the lack of communication is what we weren't happy about.

The best

A luxury cruise without a doubt. Alexander the Great was a wonderful experience. We were given a room with a balcony right in the front of the cruise boat. Sitting in the balcony while the ship was sailing was indeed a pleasure. The reservations manager Mr Michael Ghali was in constant touch prior to the journey to apprise us of the itinerary. Many thanks to him. We were picked up from the airport and dropped off at our hotel at the end of the cruise. Our tour guide Mr Hamid was a very knowledgable gentleman who explained at length about all the temples we visited. The meals on board were well planned and well presented. The restaurant staff was kind and attentive. The housekeeping staff used to make a toy daily with the towels in the room. It was so creative and hilarious. We used to look forward to seeing a new one daily. Would highly recommend this cruise and give it a five star rating.

a dream

that you just have to experience.... gently floating along the Nile to experience this backdrop... Water, green strips with palm trees and trees, behind sandy hills, small villages, towers and camels...and almost kitschy- 1-2 small fishing boats near the shore. You only know this from drawings in churches, etc. as excursions the standard package was booked, which was sufficient and very informative and little "stress"

Best honeymoon ever!

Wow, what a great experience. The owner was very attentive to our needs when planning the trip and the guide (Remon) he hired for us was exceptional. Our excursions could not have been better! Thank you Ahmed and Remon for creating a fantastic honeymoon for us.

An Unforgettable Trip!

Since my husband and I have returned home we can only marvel at what an extraordinary trip this was and all the many things we were able to see in a week’s time, all the friendship’s and memories we made. We were able to traverse a large area of Egypt learning so much along the way. It all started with meeting ever smiling Tarek at the Cairo International Airport, who helped us in going through all the formalities with ease. When we arrived there was a hiccup with my luggage, the airline did not transfer my 2 checked bags and I was devastated. Ahmed (the owner) and his associate Tarek put me at ease and assured me that they would do all in their power to fight the airline and even change my itinerary due to the inconvenience. They sure followed through, and day 2 went smoothly by having a full day tour of Cairo, visiting the Egyptian Museum and much more. Randa was an exceptional knowledgeable guide. I received my bags back from the airline that night, and Day 3 I was on my merry way to Aswam. Mohammed was our tour guide from Aswam to Luxor and we couldn’t be more grateful as to what an amazing job he did. The river cruise staff too was amazing. They were all so kind and attentive, everything was exceptional, the food and entertainment as well. All the sites from Aswam to Luxor were a delight to see, all very well guided by Mohammed and the transportation was always reliable and comfortable. We also visited Abu Simbel, an astonishing place that we will never forget. We also went on a Hot Air Balloon ride, and trust me when I tell you it was truly an amazing experience. Our pilot and ground crew were second to none. Fun, professional and a must do. We ended our tour in Luxor after seeing the breathtaking Karnak Temple. We were so saddened on our last day after making so many friends with the cruise staff and having to say bye to Mohammed. We flew back to Cairo to spend our last day, and we went out with a BANG. We had an amazing Egyptologist for a guide his name was also Mohammed and he made our time seeing the Pyramids, The Sphinx, and everything else a truly amazing one. I told him I MUST have wonderful pictures to look back on, he told me not to worry that he knew all the right places. We went on a camel ride and the fellow who guided the camels took some pictures that look almost unreal, I was so lighthearted and pleased. I want to extend a whole hearted thank you to the entire crew of Look at Egypt Tours for making our trip an unforgettable and memorable one. This is definitely a one of a kind experience that I will carry with me in my life.
