Its a brilliant trip but...
Its a brilliant trip but seriously, you only have an hour and you need 2-4. 2 minimum We could have been given option to skip lunch in order to see more. The guide was great, informative, the destination brilliant.

Nikko Day tour with Mai
A wonderful day tour to Nikko! Mai, or tour guide provided fantastic information about all the sights and also gave us a Japanese history lesson on the bus - really enjoyable! 2nd time after 15 years
We returned to Nikko after 15 years and it has grown. The natural aspects are still ( in my opinion) it's biggest attractions. The forest and watercourses have a serenity that compliments the temples and shrines. The variety of restaurants and cafes should satisfy most people and the quirky shops selling second hand clothing or souvenirs can be found strung alone the main road. The locals are friendly and willingly help with directions.

Unprofessional tour guide who totally skipped the inner shrine when itinerary lists it as the most important part of the tour.
