Our tour aims to convey a different message to the community, particularly those solely dedicated to agriculture. While agriculture is crucial for Costa Ricans' livelihoods, it's often forgotten that cultivating crops requires sacrificing the forest, which serves as the habitat for many species. On the way to our property, you'll notice vast plains where the forest has been cleared for agriculture. However, our company has partnered with a family of farmers committed to preserving the forest, spanning 60,000 square meters. In this way, our company supports this forest by paying daily entrance fees. Thus, we help this family continue to maintain the forest intact, providing a home for many animals.

Lucas was amazing! He is so knowledgable and excited about the wildlife and the land. I learned so much from him and he really made sure everyone was cared for. I want to bring my mom when she visits in december!

    Amazing night time experience!

This was an amazing evening with good food and lots of wildlife. We started the evening enjoying tortillas that were made right in front of our eyes complimented with fresh tropical juice. We then started the tour by seeing a sloth 10 steps from the start. This was one of 4 that we saw that evening. We then saw bats, insects, many, many frogs, birds and lizards. The trail is well maintained, easy to walk. Our 2 kids really liked seeing all the animals and were never bored since we saw so much. We took this tour at the end of July in 2026 and would highly recommend to anyone in the area. It was also very easy to find, close to town and had plenty of parking. Don't miss it!

    Amazing Night Tour with Kai!

Amazing tour with Kai! Seeing a coral snake was definitely the highlight of the night, but we also spotted bullet ants, frogs, a tarantula, and many other fascinating creatures. Kai was a fantastic guide very knowledgeable and great at helping everyone spot wildlife. A truly exciting experience in the rainforest! Highly recommended.

    Great night walk with Admar

We had a great experience on the night walk with Admar. He was very friendly and clearly knows the rainforest really well. We managed to see several animals during the tour, including a mama sloth with her baby which was very special to see in the wild. Admar has an incredible ability to spot animals in the dark that we would have never seen on our own. It was a fun and interesting tour and we learned a lot along the way.

Night Walk La Fortuna: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Fortuna.

How much does Night Walk La Fortuna cost?

    +

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Fortuna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Night Walk La Fortuna take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Fortuna is not rushed.

Is Night Walk La Fortuna worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Fortuna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Night Walk La Fortuna?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Night Walk La Fortuna suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Night Walk La Fortuna?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Fortuna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Fortuna and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Night Walk La Fortuna start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Fortuna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in La Fortuna?

    +

On Outty we rank every La Fortuna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Upper Balsa River White Water Rafting Class 3/4 in Costa Rica, White Water Rafting Class II and III, Authentic Coffee and Chocolate Tour at North Fields. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit La Fortuna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in La Fortuna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
