1. Sedge Mat Weaving:The village path leads us to the home of one family who weave mats from sedge which grow abundantly in the surrounding area. 2. Inspirational Pagoda Orphanage: where it shelters and cares for over 160 abandoned, orphaned or street children. The children of the orphanage are taken care of by a group of Buddhist nuns and volunteers. Their goal is to provide the children with a safe and caring environment which lessens their misfortune and gives their lives greater purpose and meaning. Being a private organization, the orphanage is trying to provide its children food, shelter, health and education. 3. Giant Amitabha Buddha statue at a height of 68 meters plus sweeping panoramas over the rice fields beyond. 4. Dry noodles making: One of the most typical food from rice steamed and processed into round piece dried in the sun on the bamboo brackets that are on sale in the inns or shops. 5. Mr Pham's tour was the best!
Mr Pham's personal your was perfect for us, a bit of history, a bit of industry and some great sights. We really enjoyed seeing noodles made by a local family, watching a conical hat being made, having a go at weaving place mats and visiting an orphanage full of very happy and well looked after children. Our driver Mr Lam was very safe and a really nice guy. We also really enjoyed our local lunch at a picturesque restaurant by the river. Even our 15 year old son enjoyed the tour!

The tour by Dung Pham provided a good overview of the city, both modern and ancient; cultural aspects of Nha Trang. My family particularly liked the responsiveness of Dung Pham (the organiser) in corresponding with us prior to the tour. The transport arranged was comfortable, the tour guide was service oriented and knowledgeable. The sites selected for the tour were appropriate, meaningful and insightful. AMAZING
We had planned to go to Nha Trang for such a long time. and when we made it. I was really excited. Nha Trang was such a beautiful city with such a nice culture, scenery and atmosphere. Everything was above great. And most importantly, the prices were really affordable compared to other cities in Vietnam. Highly recommended!! Five days in Nha Trang was more than enough. If you have time, I suggest going to Đà Nẵng and Đà Lạt cause they’re really near each other.

Nha Trang, this place is no longer a 3rd world city, WOW!!!
Pham's tour guides (there were a bunch of us) was awaiting us just outside the port gates at Nha Trang. We were off immediately. Heng was our tour leader. His English was quite good. First to a Buddhist Temple & Orphanage. Impressive temple but more impressive children. From there to a neighborhood when 2 ladies were making sleeping mats, just as their ancestors had for 100's of years. Thereafter we went to the river and loaded into a small boat for a ride upstream. Beautiful scenery. Then lunch at a private restaurant overlooking the river. Then we saw the Giant Buddha (120’ tall) From there we went to two private home. In one they were making rice noodles and the other “coolie” hats. On the way back to the ship we did q quick stop at a Hindu Temple, a bit of shopping and back to the boat. An amazing day. Pham’s Tours were both excellent an dinclusive. What a value. They covered all the bases!!!.

On the way we were with Danny from Pham Tours. He knew very well how to make our last minute tour very interesting, entertaining and humorous. We got a great insight into authentic Vietnamese life. We also visited various family businesses such as Hatter, Rice Noodle Factory, Mat Weaving and Bakery. We were also allowed to visit a pagoda orphanage and had an insight into how the children live here. Lunch exceeded my expectations completely. Directly on the river we got a cozy lunch before two in a restaurant. We were spoiled with various local dishes and drinks. It was delicious. We really enjoyed it. It was the best food in Nha Trang Finally, we went into town to a cosy local café. Danny showed us what a cold Vietnamese coffee is, how to prepare and enjoy it. It was the best coffee I ever had. Highly recommended. We really enjoyed our day with Pham Tours and can recommend this private tour including lunch to anyone who wants to experience both city life and rural life in Vietnam.
