DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOTTTTT book a tour with this company!!!!!! I took time out of my day to go to the pick up spot and arrived at 3:55 for the 4 o’clock tour. I waited around for 13 minutes and no one showed. While waiting I called three times and I decided to give it a try and see if the number I was calling was also able to be texted so I texted as well. No one answered and no one responded to my text. I saw that the text was blue so I knew it was an iPhone. I also then saw a read receipt at 4:03 PM so I knew that someone had read my messages and simply wasn’t responding. I then texted back and let them know. I had seen that they had read my message and chose not to respond and that I have waited long enough and was leaving from the pick up spot. After I left, I received a call from a really nice person named Jamey who said he was a tour guide who informed me that he did not know that there was a tour and that he was very sorry but if I wanted to wait for him, he could come and take me on the tour. I asked him if it would be just be me and him he said yes, but that he likes small tours better anyway, I told him no thank you, that I had waited long enough and made alternate plans. Because he was so nice however I told him if anything changed I’ll let him know for later in the evening if he had a bigger group. Over an hour later, I received a text back from the number which I texted and called earlier and called while I had been waiting at the pick up spot. The person who texted me did not give me a name or introduce themselves, but instead chose to lie and say that their guide was at the pickup spot at the scheduled time, not knowing that their guide had already called me and admitted that he did not know about the tour, was indeed not there and was sorry about the confusion. So not only did the representative of the company lie to me-He also lied on me and made it seem like I was lying about being at the pick up spot on time at the scheduled time. I do not appreciate being lied on. I then sent him proof that I was at the pick up spot on time, then I sent him proof that his tour guide called me at 4:10 PM. I screenshot the time of the call being received, I sent him a picture of me being at the designated place with the timestamp. After I proved HIM (or again, her) to be the liar, he didn’t bother responding. I requested my refund twice and he has not responded!!! Save your time and save your money and save any frustration and do not deal with this unprofessional company that is represented by a blatant liar!!!!!!!! Please look at the photos, then when I proved him to be the liar and unprofessional, he said, I sound like an idiot and told me to watch my mouth. most ridiculous experience ever.

Canceled after waiting for 15 minutes

They canceled on us after we waited at the location for 15 minutes. They said we should’ve been informed earlier but I only got a confirmation notification not cancelation. We never got the tour which was disappointing to my kids. I was issued a refund but still very disappointing.

Too crowded to find tour guide

They should have NEVER offered a tour in the middle of the day on Mardi Gras. We got there 20 minutes early. The streets were packed. They said meet on the sidewalk outside. People EVWRYWHERE. We messaged the company to see how we’d actually find a guide in the crowded area. They messaged and said the guide would have on a badge and be by a gate of a courtyard attached to the bar. No guide. Nothing but patrons in and out of the courtyard. So a complete waste of money as the tour was non refundable if we cancelled but there WASNT a tour at all. Nobody was there.

New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Orleans.

How much does New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Orleans usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Orleans is not rushed.

Is New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 34 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in New Orleans, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Orleans can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Orleans and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does New Orleans Voodoo, Mystery, and Paranormal Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Orleans within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Orleans?

    +

New Orleans runs on licensed guides, and it shows: the city requires certification for tour guides, so the floor is higher here than most US cities. Ghost and cemetery walks, French Quarter food crawls, plantation history day trips and swamp boat runs make up the bulk. We rank on whether the operator handles cemetery access properly, since St. Louis No. 1 needs an authorised guide. On Outty we rank every New Orleans experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include New Orleans Swamp and Bayou Boat Tour with Transportation, New Orleans Swamp Tour Boat Adventure, New Orleans Self-Transport Swamp and Bayou Boat Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Orleans?

    +

February to May and October to November. August is heat and storm season. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Orleans?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
