Terrible, unprofessional and to be avoided

I have to rate this one star, because I can't rate it zero. Fivemo were hopelessly unprofessional and showed zero flexibility or desire to help paying customers. We had booked and paid for an early tour (6am start), so we could see the fish market at wholesale time, before moving on to other sights. As I didn't hear anything from the company, at 7pm the night before I whatsapped the contact number. They told me it was cancelled. I have no idea why they didn't bother to proactively tell me. If I hadn't contacted them, we would have been sitting at pickup point at 5.45am waiting for someone who wasn't going to turn up. That is unprofessional, and a very poor level of service. (I am being polite - theose weren't the words I would have used at the time!). I asked the person on Whatsapp if there was anything they could do for us later in the day. Sure it was 24th December, but life was still going on in Negombo, and to a visitor, a good guide can make a closed building interesting. I was told no. Nothing could be done. I've taken walking tours in cities all around the world. As a visitor, I've enjoyed every one as the guides are always interesting even if the buildings are sometimes not. But this experience is a reminder that some providers are useless, and don't give a t*ss about their customers. I was even told it was cancelled due to political disturbance! That would be church celebrations, presumably.
