If you get the chance to do this trip DO IT..

If you get the chance to do this trip DO IT.. Our guide was called Leonard. He was fabulous. The day starts off at the pick up point at the bottom of Broadway. When we got on the bus, Leonard told everyone the itinerary for the day. And they have this nailed down. It is incredibly well organised. He played Elvis movies on the way to Memphis and we had a 20 minute stop on the way. Once we arrived at Graceland, Leonard went to get our passes. Which I thought would take him a while as there were 52 people on our tour. But he was back with our passes within minutes. Again, very well organised. We got around 3hrs 45mins in Graceland. Which personally, I thought was plenty of time. I have seen others comment that they would have liked more time. For me, I feel it was enough. We even had a little time to grab some food at Gladys' Diner. Then it was off to Sun Records. To stand in the same room where so many big names recorded songs was so surreal. It's a very brief tour but I loved it. Then Beale Street. I'll start with the good points here. BB Kings for food was amazing. Unfortunately, the rest is very run down. A lot of closed places, and a lot of homeless looking people who either seemed to have some mental health issues or were on drugs. We didn't venture too far from the bus which was parked at the start of Beale. For the journey home, again an Elvis movie was played until we stopped for a break, then the movies went off to give us a chance to nap. Which after a very long day was needed. The trip was absolutely amazing. It's a long day but very worth it. The whole day is very organised. Thank you

    Loved the tour,...

Loved the tour, everything from Graceland to Sun Studio. The driver was great and kept us all entertained. Graceland tour staff were brilliant, the staff in the restaurants not so great but that wasn’t the fault of this tour.

Excellent for people who have limited time

Excellent tour for people who have limited time while traveling. I suggest that we spend less time in Beale street and add The civil rights museum as 2 hours in Beale street is too much

    Graceland full day tour

It was a very long day but well worth it. Our bus driver was friendly and fun. The Graceland part was excellent. I liked the tour of the house, automobiles and airplanes. Sun studios was good but the stop at Beale Street was very disappointing. It was so run down and nothing worth seeing. Beale street should be eliminated from this tour. Overall a great tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback about our Nashville to Memphis Day Trip. It’s certainly a full day, and we’re glad you felt the experience was worthwhile, especially your time exploring Graceland and its incredible collection of Elvis history, automobiles, and aircraft. We also appreciate your perspective on the itinerary and will be sure to pass your feedback along to our team. Thank you for making the journey from Nashville to Memphis with Gray Line Tennessee!

A Wonderful, Safe Way to See Memphis, Graceland, Sun and Beale Street

What a great way to see Memphis if you are staying in Nashville. Our driver, Leonard, was terrific, and an excellent driver. The bus was highest-quality, with toilet. We stopped in both directions at a great place which welcomed us profusely. In Memphis, the Graceland stop really touched the heart, because it's not just the Graceland house, but there are a bunch of super Elvis museums as part of it--an unexpected treat. Sun Records, and Beale Street, are also top quality things to see and do. We also went to the Peabody Hotel and saw the marching of the ducks; this is a well known spectacle there. All in all, it was a great, fun, safe trip. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: What a wonderful Memphis recap! Thank you for taking the time to share all the highlights of your Nashville to Memphis Day Trip with Gray Line Tennessee. From Graceland and its incredible Elvis exhibits to Sun Studio, Beale Street, and the famous Peabody Ducks, you certainly packed a lot of Memphis into one day! We’re especially glad you felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the journey. It sounds like you made some fantastic memories, and we’re grateful we could be part of them. We appreciate the recommendation!

Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nashville.

How much does Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission cost?

    +

Prices start at $380 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nashville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission take?

    +

Plan for about 15 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nashville is not rushed.

Is Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 563 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nashville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 15-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission?

    +

Around 197 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nashville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nashville and add a light layer if any part of the 15-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nashville to Memphis Daytrip with Graceland VIP Tour and Sun Studio Admission start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nashville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nashville?

    +

Nashville's activity mix is unusually music-heavy: Ryman and Opry backstage tours, RCA Studio B sessions, songwriter rounds and honky-tonk crawls on Broadway. Around that sit distillery runs to Lynchburg and general-admission pedal taverns. Outty Ranking penalises the crawl operators that oversell group size, which is the most common complaint in this city. On Outty we rank every Nashville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Nashville: Authentic Food Tour with 5 Tastings of Local Dishes, Nashville's Wildest Honky Tonk Public Party Bus (21+), Nashville RCA Studio B & Country Music Hall of Fame Ticket Combo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nashville?

    +

April to May and September to October, when patios open and the humidity drops. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nashville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
