CIAO TOURS CANCELLED OUR TRIP WITH THEM ALMOST AT THE LAST MINUTE
AVOID CIAO FLORENCE TOURS SRL. We booked in February for a trip from Naples to Sorrento and Pompeii with them. in May when we were in Naples on a cruise. They had the crass indecency to CANCEL us 24 hours before we were going on the tour. Luckily we had wifi that day and saw the cancellation, so we telephoned them and were told no-one else was going on the trip so they decided to cancel. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID this disreputable tour company. You have been warned.

Fantastic Tour!
We had such a wonderful day. It was really easy to find our driver outside the port, he was there on time and we had a lovely new Mercedes mini van with air con which was invaluable as it was around 35 degrees on the day of our tour. Our driver was great, very friendly in that he was talkative but didn't try to engage with us too much (we were a family of 5). We drove all along the Amalfi Coast and took in Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello and then went on to Pompeii where he sent us our 'skip the queue' tickets and met us outside when we were finished. We were given the option of choosing how long we spent in Pompeii at the start of the day and he planned around this. We also were back to the ship at the right time before it sailed too. The only thing I would say which was a slight downside for us was we were taken to a rather expensive restaurant in the middle of nowhere for lunch and it really wasn't the kind of food we liked so we would have preferred to have chosen to eat in one of the towns instead, so I would suggest to maybe have that discussion with the driver up front. Other than that it was literally our favourite day of the whole holiday and I can't recommend the tour enough! Book it!

How far in advance should I book Naples Shore Excursion: the Amalfi coast and Pompeii with skip the line tickets?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?
+

What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
