Don’t take this tour!!!
Worst tour and driver ever! Started out over an hour late picking us up… lots of different excuses regarding accidents and floods, as to why they were late though no other tours were having problems. Driver was extremely rude, would not listen to us or his tour people. Due to late start and bad traffic we only got 50 minutes in Positano. No other stops as we would not have made it back to the boat. Driver kept refusing to take us back to the boat, it took numerous calls to tour operator for assistance to get us back to the boat on time. Tour operator argued with Driver for over 5 minutes and thought he had agreed to return us to the boat, but the Driver still refused and took us to Sorrento. In Sorrento we wouldn’t get out to tour and kept asking him to just take us back to the boat. Had to make another call to the tour operator for help. While on that call he got very angry and started screaming at us and then tried to force us off the van, saying he was leaving us there in Sorrento. He was yelling very loudly at us, even while I was on the phone with the tour operator. We refused to get out of the van. The only way we got him to take us back to the boat was to sign a paper he had written up saying we refused to do the tour and we would not request a refund. We signed the paper and then he forced my husband to give him a picture of his passport or he would not continue driving. He also threatened to call the police if we didn’t get out of the van. On top of all this his van had no air conditioning except minimal air in the front seat, no vents in the back worked. Some of our group were getting heat exhaustion. The trip to Positano was supposed to take 1 hour and 15 minutes… it took 2 1/2 hours to get there. It would have taken another hour to get from Positano to Amalfi and then even longer to get to Ravello. Do the math… very hard to do all this in 8 hours due to the extreme traffic! Also this driver didn’t care… kept saying the ship would wait for us! I complained to the tour company when we got back to the ship… they say they are investigating but nothing has happened. Bottom line extremely unprofessional driver, no air conditioning in van, van was filthy with trash on the back seat floor. If you like being yelled at and told to shut up when you are begging to be taken back to the boat , this is the tour for you!

Stunning seaside scenery
The driver is a very professional which he can move efficiently on the hill. We, a group of eight including elderly and kid could see stunning views in along the hill in a day. I would recommend people to visit in June rather than august.

The best way to explore the Amalfi coast and Sorrento!
Francesco met us at our ship and was very friendly and helpful. We had an itinerary, but he suggested changes in the order of places we went to avoid traffic. That was a great idea. He is an excellent driver in the city and in the mountains! Everybody seems to know by him! He has great taste in music also!

Private excursion in Naples
The car that we got was a bit small for 8 people. 2 passengers had to sit with driver and the middle seat was too tight Places that we visited was great but time was tight for each place. It might be better to visit 2 spots like Positano and Sorrento or Amalfi Coast such that one can spend more time to explore the respective places visited

Beautiful day.
Beautiful drive along the Amalfi coast with free time at each city. Eugenio was a gracious driver who was knowledgeable and informative.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Naples Private Shore Excursion: Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
