A good boat ride but short on fishing
We have done this trip many times. However, their new boats are faster but smaller. There is no place on them to stay dry or to get out of the sun. They say they have a bathroom but it is so small you need to crawl to get to it. We did catch some fish but we probably actually only fished for less than 90 minutes on a 6 hour fishing excursion. We drove for over two hours out and two hours back. In between we moved six times. We also paid for a first mate who did not come. So we had even less times as we waited for baits and fish to be removed. It was a nice long boat ride but it was very short on fishing.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your feedback and for riding with us again. Our newer boats are faster to help reach more productive fishing grounds, though they are a bit more open by design. Private charters don’t include a first mate unless we’re training someone, we apologize if that wasn't properly explained. While run time can vary depending on where the fish are biting, we appreciate your thoughts and will keep them in mind as we continue to refine our trips.

Mahi,Mahi,Mahi everywhere
On June 9, 2024, we went on a fishing charter called “Sweet E’ Nuf charters with Captain Quin and 1st mate Charlie. We got to the dock at 6:50 AM and promptly left the dock at7:00AM.Captain Quin got up in the tower to start the charter and Charlie was down below getting everything ready and explaining to all of us how he wanted us to fish and how the rods worked.Once we left the dock and we were in open water, Captain Quin nailed it and we were off to the races in search of birds and fish.At around 8:00 AM, Captain Quin saw a weed line and said let’s try this here, so we got the lines in the water and trolled for 15- 20 mins, but no fish, so Captain Quinsaid pick up the lines, let’s move on. So we went on our search again and at about 9:15AM, Captain Quin saw some debris in the water and she said lines in,at 9:30AM, we had our 1st fish on and as we were bringing it to the boat, Captain Quin could she other Mahi following it, so it was game on. We probably fished this school for 45 mins to an hour and we put 36 fish in the box, catching at least 50 fish. Captain Quin was up in the tower the whole time telling us which direction to throw the lines and when the fish ate the bait. Charlie was hustling around taking fish off the lines and rebating our hooks very quickly so we wouldn’t lose the school. Captain Quin was in the tower telling us whether to go over or under with our lines, so we wouldn’t get tangled up and lose fish. It was very hectic but a blast as fish were everywhere. At 10:30AM we decided to pick up and go deep drop. We were fishing for grouper or tole fish. We had a couple strikes but nothing really took the bait. While we were deep dropping Charlie spotted some birds working about 1/4 mile out. Captain Quin said let’s go chase those birds. When we got ther we got lines in the water and Captain Quin positioned us perfectly under the birds and we hooked a fish. Again as we were bringing it to the boat, Captain Quin spotted the school, so we caught another 17 for the box and then we slowly trolled to shore searching the whole time for more fish. I would highly recommend this charter and Captain Quin cleaned our Mahi better then any charter I have ever taken. Excellent job Captain Quin and Charlie. Rick

Why this scores 48
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Naples 6 hour Split Charter: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Naples 6 hour Split Charter cost?
+
Prices start at $287 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Naples 6 hour Split Charter take?
+
Plan for about 6.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Naples 6 hour Split Charter worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Naples 6 hour Split Charter?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Naples 6 hour Split Charter suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Naples 6 hour Split Charter?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 6.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Naples 6 hour Split Charter start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
Naples is the launch point for Everglades airboat rides and Ten Thousand Islands boat tours, along with shelling trips, sunset sails off the pier and small-group food walks downtown. On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marco Island and Naples Pedal or Paddle Kayak Tour, Mangrove Tunnels & Mudflats Kayak Tour - Local Biologist Guides, Manatees and Mangrove Tunnels Small Group Kayak Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
November to April, the dry season with the best wildlife viewing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
