Nami Island is especially famous during winter after K-Drama Winter Sonata was filmed there. Nami Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads. The island is 30 minutes away from Chuncheon and an hour away from the suburbs of Seoul. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families come to visit.

The Garden of Morning Calm
The plants which boasted their beauty in Spring, Summer, and Fall start preparing for winter. Birds’ songs and the sound of water flowing under ice, which can be heard in silence in nature while you walk on the path covered with white snow, will clear your mind. When it becomes dark on a cold winter night, the garden starts waking up slowly as lights are turned on. The festival which starts every December and continues until March of the next year.

Fantastic tour!
Our tour guide Yamy is very efficient and organized.We hit 4 different locations-Alpaca world,Nami Island,Italian'/French village and Garden of Morning calm in a day.My family got upgraded to this package because the package I bought for the day did not satisfy tge minimum requirements.It was nice for the tour company to do this.Yamy let us rest in the bus to prepare for the next location.The bus was very comfortable and the naps in between was well appreciated.It was a hot summer day so we feel really exhausted after visiting 1 place.Yamy provided tips where to go which were very helpful considering that the time is limited.The only thing is that in Nami island my son wants to ride the bike while I want to take photos.We met halfway but it was such a bad idea that we lost our time.LOL!I should've allowed him to go biking while I do my thing.Divide and conquer!Anyways,overall, our experience with this tour is great.Being able to hit 4 places in one day given our short time in Korea is best value.I also like the scenery along the way.Lastly, we enjoyed our lunch -dak-galbi -traditional cuisine in that area.Yamy requested us to pre-order the lunch to save time. Alpaca world-Alpacas are very friendly!Got the chance to be upclose and personal Nami island-Winter Sonata k-drama location, beautiful tree lines, so much to see and do! Petite France- 2 of my fave k-dramas film locations:Secret Garden and My love from the stars Garden of morninv calm- very relaxing, bonsai plants are amazing! Love the millennium Juniper tree!

Alpaca World, Garden Of Morning Calm and Nami Island Tour
S.A travels have 3 convenient pick up locations. Our tour started at Alpaca World. Where you can get up close with the Alpacas, you can feed them and take photos. Afterwards we had lunch at Nami Island. I would recommend the Chuncheon Chicken Dakgalbi absolutely delicious lunch. After lunch we took the boat to Nami Island which is roughly takes 10 minutes there and back. Beautiful place to visit. Then we visited Petite France and Italian Village, afterwards we went to The Garden Of Morning Calm which was my personal highlight of the day, it is possibly the most beautiful garden place I have visited in my life this was absolutely mesmerising. A special thank you to our tour operator Yamy forget positive energy andthe way she communicated with throughout the day🙂🙏

It would be better if it were just a visit to Nami Island and the Garden of Morning calm
I think the time allocated to visit three places could be distributed only between visiting the island and the calm morning garden, as it is the most interesting and has the least amount of time allocated, especially the last place.

Nami Alapaca and Morning Calm
Our guide Mina was fantastic. I would recommend this tour to see all 3 places. If you want a slower pace to enjoy Nami Island I suggest doing that as a half day trip on your own.
