The Gold Standard in Travel! Absolutely Fantastic!
Our private tour with PicTours of Greece exceeded all expectations. We travel a lot so it’s a high bar! George, the tour operator, created a wonderful tour that balanced incredible sites, hiking, wine tasting, and cuisine. What a gorgeous and hospitable country! The itinerary was extremely well crafted. Much of the trip was off the beaten path, and most places were not full of tourists. He personally vetted all the accommodations and the restaurants. His passion for Greece extends to his love of food. My husband and I couldn’t decide if this was a tour of sites with incredible meals or a food tour with incredible sites. At every meal, he would speak with the waiter/owner and select what dishes were freshest that day. He loved introducing us to new foods and has incredible knowledge about the cuisine. I am a total foodie, so this was awesome! Our tour guide, Kelli, was terrific and so personable. Honestly we all felt like friends by the end of the trip. In addition, George is a careful driver, a real plus when driving on the winding mountain roads. The van was spotless. And he was always punctual (usually early). I can not recommend Pictours enough!

Excellent full service guided tour!
We had 4 days out of Athens and we just told George that we were interested in seeing some of the country, eating good food and tasting some good local wines. He did the rest. With a holiday to cope with George lined up a guide for us (Stavroula was a great guide with an extensive knowledge of Greek history to teach us) and set it up. It was a full 4 days with pick ups, drop offs and arrangements that couldn't be beat. The food, the wine and the sights were great. The company of George and Stavroula might have been even better! A fun trip and highly recommended!

The perfect mix of the old and new
My wife and I spent an amazing time with George and our guide Sophia touring through thousands of years of Greek history. We explored the ancient sites, modern cities, and small towns, giving us a perfect mix of both old and new. George customized the trip to our interests, finding unique, not-often-visited gems for us to see. And, having only the four of us allowed us to stop when we wanted (like stopping along the side of the road to take pictures by enormous sunflowers or in a small taverna to be invited into the kitchen to select from today's specials). The tour was well organized, with plenty of time to see the sites, visit the museums, shop, eat, and just stroll through the villages and cities. He shared his love of Greece -- and food -- with us as we explored the restaurants and selected tasty local specials.

Perfection in Greece
It was perfect! The tour operator chose the best hotels and restaurants. He literally knew everyone.At meals, we would all be sitting together and a parade of delicious food would magically appear. It felt like a road trip with friends. Our guide knew his mythology and history well, but even better, he was a truly gifted Storyteller. Imagine being comfortably seated, driven through magical mountains, seas, villages and cities. you are chatting, you think of something pertaining to Greece, you ask Babis, and out comes an amazing story. And then, you go to see the Oracle, mountain top villages, monasteries, ruins, battlegrounds, castles, all with your own guide. PERFECTION!
